2018 Swedish Football Division 2
The 2018 Division 2, part of the 2018 Swedish football season is the 13th season of Sweden's fourth-tier football league in its current format. Teams 84 teams contest the league divided into six sections - Norra Götaland, Norra Svealand, Norrland, Södra Svealand, Södra Svealand and Södra Svealand. The Division comprises 60 teams returning from the 2017 season, six relegated from Division 1 and 18 promoted from Division 3. The champion of each section will qualify directly for promotion to Division 1, the runner-up from each section enters a six-team, two-group playoff, with the winner of each group earning promotion to Division 1. The bottom two teams in each section are relegated to Division 3 with the 12th place team in each section entering a relegation playoff. Division 2 (Swedish Football)
Division 2 is the fourth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 84 Swedish football teams. Division 2 had status as the official second level from 1928 to 1986 but was replaced by Division 1 in 1987. It then had status as the official third level until 2005 but was replaced once again by the recreated Division 1 in 2006. Overview In the Division, there are 84 clubs which are divided in six groups of 14 teams each representing a geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 26 games. Vänersborg
Vänersborg () is a locality and the seat of Vänersborg Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden with 23,882 inhabitants (out of a municipal total of 39,591) Until 1997 it was the capital of Älvsborg County, which was dissolved in 1998. Uddevalla
Uddevalla (old no, Oddevold) is a town and the seat of Uddevalla Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. In 2015, it had a population of 34 781. It is located at a bay of the south-eastern part of Skagerrak. The beaches of Uddevalla are filled with seashells and Uddevalla has one of the largest shell-banks in the world. Uddevalla has a port and it once had a large shipyard, the ''Uddevallavarvet'' ("Uddevalla wharf"), which was the largest employer in Bohuslän during the 1960s. IFK Uddevalla is a Swedish football club located in Uddevalla and played two seasons in the highest Swedish league, Allsvenskan, in 1925–26 and 1926–27. Torslanda
Torslanda is an urban district situated in Gothenburg Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 10,129 inhabitants in 2005. Etymology A Norse pagan place of sacrifice to the God Thor was once located here, which gave rise to the name Torslanda; meaning "Thor's land". Torslanda IK is a local sports club in Torslanda, Gothenburg, Sweden. History Torslanda IK was founded in 1944 by Anders Tullock, Bengt Tullock and Erik Danielsson.
