The 2018 Stock Car Brasil Championship was the fortieth season of the Stock Car Brasil. Teams and drivers All teams compete with a Chevrolet Cruze Stock Car. Team changes *The Squadra G-Force team premiered in 2018 at Stock Car after purchasing the cars of C2 team, that did not compete in 2017. *Full Time Sports reduced their program from six to four cars. After the team decided to withdraw the two cars of satellite team Full Time Academy. FTS and Bassani Racing still the partnership with two cars, but now without the name and sponsor of HERO, that moved to RCM Motorsport, with a new sponsor the team pass to be called Texaco Racing. Cavaleiro Sports bought one car of FTS and expanded to three cars this season. * For this season, TMG Shell changed their name to Shell V-Power due to sponsor reasons. 2018 Stock Car Light Season
The 2018 Stock Light is the sixteenth season of Stock Light. The 2018 season marks the first season since 2007, after the series endured an eleven-year absence. Teams and drivers *All cars were powered by V8 engines and used the JL chassis. All drivers were Brazilian-registered except for Odair dos Santos, who raced under a Paraguayan racing license. Race calendar and results All races were held in Brazil. Championship standings ;Points system Points are awarded for each race at an event to the driver/s of a car that completed at least 75% of the race distance and was running at the completion of the race. *Feature Race: Used for the first race. *Sprint Race: Used for the first and second race, with partially reversed (top ten) of each event. *Final race: Used for the last round of the season with double points. Ricardo Luiz Zonta (born March 23, 1976) is a Brazilian professional racing driver. He currently competes full-time in the Brazilian Stock Car Pro Series, driving the No. 10 Toyota Corolla E210 for RCM Motorsport. Early career Born in Curitiba, Brazil, Zonta began karting in 1987, winning his first race shortly thereafter. The following year, he was runner-up for the Curitiba Karting Championship, and in 1991, he won the title. He continued karting until 1992, finishing fourth in the São Paulo Karting Championship before progressing to single-seaters for 1993. He finished 6th in the Brazilian Formula Chevrolet Championship, and then in 1994, came fifth in the Brazilian Formula Three Championship. TMG Racing, previously called AMG Motorsport and currently competing as Lubrax , Podium Stock Car Team due to sponsorship reasons, is a Brazilian auto racing team based in Americana, São Paulo that currently competes in Stock Car Brasil and the F4 Brazilian Championship (as TMG Racing). Created in the 2003 final, AMG Motorsport originated from the G5 Racing team, directed by Mr. Affonso Giaffone and with the participation of partners Maurício Matos, Edvaldo Zaghetti and Alex Gesell. Squadra G-Force (formerly known as C2 Team) was a Brazilian motor racing team based in Curitiba Paraná that competed in the Stock Car Brasil between 2014 and 2018. The team was formed in 2014 as C2 Team by Edson Casagrande and Júlio Campos after they bought Gramacho Competições team. At the end of 2016, Casagrande and Campos left the team sitting out the 2017 season. The team returned in 2018 after Guilherme Ferro who was the crew chief of the team decided to continue with the project renaming to Squadra G-Force. Gabriel Casagrande (born 12 November 1994) is a Brazilian racing driver. He competes full-time in the Stock Car Pro Series, driving the No. 83 Chevrolet Cruze for A. Mattheis Vogel Motorsport. He is the reigning champion of the Brazilian Stock Car championship, having won his first title in 2021. Christiano "Tuka" Chiaradia Alcoba Rocha (December 13, 1982 – November 17, 2019) was a Brazilian race car driver. He won numerous karting championships in Brazil from 1996 to 2000. Then moved up to South American Formula 3 Lights. In 2002 he moved to Europe to compete in the World Series by Nissan where he was Ricardo Zonta's teammate.
