2018 South Korean Figure Skating Championships
The 2018 South Korean Figure Skating Championships ( ko, 제72회 전국 남녀 피겨스케이팅 종합선수권대회) were held from January 5–7, 2018 at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Seoul. It was organized by International figure skating, Korea Skating Union. This was the 72nd edition of those championships held. Skaters competed in the disciplines of single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, ice dancing on the senior, junior levels and pair skating on the senior levels for the title of List of national championships in figure skating, national champion of South Korea. 2017–18 National Figure Skating Championships
National figure skating championships of the 2017–2018 season took place mainly between December 2017 and January 2018. They were held to crown national champions and some competitions served as part of the selection process for international events such as the 2018 Winter Olympics and ISU Figure Skating Championships. 2018 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2018 World Figure Skating Championships were held in Milan, Italy from 19–25 March 2018, at the Mediolanum Forum. Records The following new ISU best scores were set during this competition: Qualification Age and minimum TES requirements Skaters are eligible for the 2018 World Championships if they turned 15 years of age before 1 July 2017 and have met the minimum technical elements score requirements. The ISU accepts scores if they were obtained at senior-level ISU-recognized international competitions at least 21 days before the first official practice day of the championships. Lim Eun-soo
Lim Eun-soo (Hangul: 임은수; born February 26, 2003) is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2018 Rostelecom Cup bronze medalist, the two-time CS Asian Open champion (2018, 2019), the 2018 CS U.S. Classic silver medalist, and the 2017 South Korean national champion. She has finished within the top ten at three senior ISU Championships. Earlier in her career, Lim won two medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series (bronze at the 2016 JGP Germany and silver at the 2017 JGP Austria). She has finished within the top five at the World Junior Championships for two consecutive years (2017, 2018). Choi Da-bin
Choi Da-bin (Hangul: 최다빈; born January 19, 2000) is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2017 Asian Winter Games champion and a 5-time South Korean national medalist (three silver, two bronze). She has placed in the top ten at the 2018 Winter Olympics, the 2017 World Championships, the Four Continents Championships (2016, 2017, 2018). Earlier in her career, she won two bronze medals during the 2015–16 ISU Junior Grand Prix series in Austria and Latvia. She has placed in the top ten at the World Junior Championships (2014, 2015). Park Sung-hoon (; born December 8, 2002), known mononymously as Sunghoon, is a South Korean singer, former presenter and former figure skater. He competed as a figure skater from 2010 to early 2020; while simultaneously being a Bighit Music trainee since 2018, later transferring to Belift Lab. He retired from the sport and debuted as a member of the South Korean boy band Enhypen in November 2020. Byun Se-jong (Hangul:변세종) (born May 4, 1998) is a South Korean figure skater. He is bronze medalist of 2018 CS Asian Open Trophy, and competed in the free skate at two Four Continents Championships (2015, 2016). Cha Young-hyun (; born September 24, 2003) is a South Korean figure skater and a tightrope dancer (eoreum-sani) of Namsadang. Lee June-hyoung (Hangul:이준형) (born October 28, 1996) is a South Korean former competitive figure skater. He is the 2014 JGP France champion and a three-time South Korean national champion (2013, 2015, 2016). Kim Jin-seo (Hangul:김진서) (born November 29, 1996) is a South Korean figure skater.
