The 2018 Liga Futebol Amadora is the third season of the Liga Futebol Amadora. The season began on 3 March 2018. The Primeira Divisão began on March 3 and finished on August 5, while the Segunda Divisão began on March 6 and was finished on August 6. All Primeira Divisão games are played at the Dili Municipal Stadium, Kampo Demokrasia, Baucau Municipal Stadium and Malibaca Yamato Stadium, while all Segunda Divisão games are played at the Kampo Demokrasia. Boavista Futebol Clube Timor Leste or Boavista Timor Leste also abbreviated as BFC-TL, is a football club of East Timor based in Dili. The team plays in the Liga Futebol Amadora. History Originally the club formed in 1986 when Pedro Carrascalão was a high school student during the period when East Timor was still under Indonesian occupation. But he closed it just after the incident at Santa Cruz, which refer to as the 12 November massacre. Originally the name of the club was based on a cultural expression, Kumpulan Anak Remaja Lorosae, which in Indonesian means the ''youth from where the sun rises''. But he had trouble when he used that name as some of players were active in the clandestine movement and were being chased by Indonesian intelligence forces, so he decided to simplify things and base the new name off an abbreviation of my surname. 2017 Liga Futebol Amadora
The 2017 Liga Futebol Amadora is the second season of the Liga Futebol Amadora. The season began on 18 February 2017. The Primeira Divisão began on February 18 and finished on September 16, while the Segunda Divisão began on March 7 and was finished in the final match on September 22. All Primeira Divisão games are played at the Baucau Municipal Stadium and Malibaca Yamato Stadium, while Segunda Divisão and Segunda Divisão Promotion Playoff games are played at the Dili Municipal Stadium. Primeira Divisão games used Dili Municipal Stadium for matchday 12 on 10-13 August 2017, matchday 13 on 1-4 September 2017 and three matches in matchday 14 on 7-9 September 2017. Atlético Ultramar is the last season champions and got promoted to 2018 LFA Primeira. Assalam won their first LFA Segunda title, after a 5–1 win over Nagarjo in their last match on 19 July 2018. Assalam won their first promotion to 2019 LFA Primeira, with one match to spare following a 4–0 win over Lalenok United on 28 June 2018. The 2018 LFA Primeira is the third season of the Liga Futebol Amadora Primeira Divisão. The season began on March 3 and originally finished on August 5, but rescheduled to be finished on July 29. Karketu Dili is the current defending champions. Boavista won their first LFA Primeira title, with one match to spare following a 10–1 away win over Cacusan on 22 July 2018, while its competitor Karketu only drew 1–1 against Ponta Leste on 20 July 2018. Cacusan to be the first team who relegated to 2019 LFA Segunda, with four match to spare following a 0–10 loss against Karketu on 30 June 2018. Liga Futebol Amadora
Liga Futebol Timor-Leste (LFTL) is a league competition featuring football clubs from Timor Leste. It replaced Super Liga Timorense in 2015. The competition initially consisted of two main divisions, the Primeira Divisão and Segunda Divisão, however was expanded to include a third division in 2019. As of 2020 the winner of the previous Premeria Divisão season represents Timor Leste in the AFC Cup. In 2020 the name of the competition was renamed from the Liga Futebol Amadora to the Liga Futebol Timor-Leste. The league did not run however due to the COVID pandemic, with the teams set to compete in the Pimeira and Segunda Divisão instead competing in the Copa FFTL. Atlético Clube de Ultramar, commonly known as Atlético Ultramar, is an East Timorese football club based in Manatuto, Manatuto Municipality. The team plays in the Liga Futebol Amadora. Ultramar is the only team to have ever won the Taça 12 de Novembro twice, winning the cup in both 2017 and 2018.
