2018 Indy Eleven Season
The 2018 Indy Eleven season was the club's fifth season of existence, and their first season in the United Soccer League following their move from the North American Soccer League on January 10. Indy also competed in the U.S. Open Cup. The season covered the period from October 30, 2017, to the beginning of the 2019 USL season. 2018 marked a number of firsts for the club: the first year that home matches were played in Lucas Oil Stadium, located in downtown Indianapolis, as well as the first year of Martin Rennie's managerial tenure. Although Rennie was victorious in his first game in charge of the club, Indy were defeated in their first-ever match at their new home stadium. The season average of 10,163 fans per home match was the second-largest average attendance in Indy Eleven history, behind only the club's inaugural season. Indy Eleven is an American professional soccer team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional developmental association football, soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States and Canada, forming part of the United States soccer league system. Ayoze García Pérez (born 22 November 1985), known simply as Ayoze, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a left-back, currently assistant coach for USL Championship club Indy Eleven. He spent most of his 20-year senior career with Tenerife and the New York Cosmos, signing with the latter club in 2013. He retired following a spell in the USL Championship with Indy Eleven. Tyler Pasher (born 27 April 1994) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Birmingham Legion in the USL Championship. Club Youth Pasher became a member of the Woolwich Soccer Association, of which his father Jeff was president, at age 6. He trained with English club Newcastle United's academy on multiple occasions throughout his youth. Jordan Farr (born October 5, 1994) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper who plays for USL Championship club Tampa Bay Rowdies.
