Emilio Gastón Sanz (8 January 1935 – 22 January 2018) was a Spanish politician, lawyer, and poet. A native of Zaragoza born in 1935, Gastón was a practicing lawyer. Pablo García Baena (; 29 June 1921 – 14 January 2018) was a Spanish poet. He was born and raised in Córdoba. In 1947, he formed an literary/artistic group called Cántico with his friends and fellow-writers Ricardo Molina, Juan Bernier, Julio Aumente and Mario López. Also in the group were the painters Miguel del Moral and Ginés Liébana. García Baena published more than a dozen collections of poetry, receiving widespread critical acclaim. He was awarded the prestigious Asturias Prize in 1984. He has received numerous other honours, including "Favoured Son" status from his hometown of Córdoba and his native region of Andalusia. Victoriano Ríos Pérez
Victoriano Ríos Pérez (19 June 1930 – 9 January 2018) was a Spanish physician and politician. Born on 19 June 1930 in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, he attended the University of La Laguna, where he later taught. Ríos contested the 1986 Canary Islands parliamentary elections, and served until 1999. From 1987 to 1995, Ríos was president of the regional legislature, which nominated Ríos to the Senate later that year. Luisa Pastor Lillo (10 October 1948 – 18 April 2018), was a Spanish politician. Passionate about the Moors and Christians festivities in San Vicente del Raspeig, she was a member of the "Moros Viejos" comparsa. In 1985 she was the standard-bearer of her comparsa with her husband José Ramón García Antón who was the comparsa captain, along with her sons Carolina and José Ramón who were the standard-bearer and children's captain of the comparsa, respectively. Manuel Olivencia Ruiz (25 July 1929 – 1 January 2018) was a Spanish lawyer with a career as a professor, economist, and diplomat. He worked at the University of Seville and organized Seville Expo '92. Early life Olivencia was born in Ronda, Province of Málaga, on 25 July 1929 and grew up in Ceuta. 2018 Andalusian Regional Election
The 2018 Andalusian regional election was held on Sunday, 2 December 2018, to elect the 11th Parliament of the autonomous community of Andalusia. All 109 seats in the Parliament were up for election. As a result of the previous election, the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party of Andalusia (PSOE–A) was able to retain power after obtaining confidence and supply support from Citizens (Cs), with such alliance enduring President Susana Díaz's defeat in the 2017 PSOE leadership election. The PSOE–Cs agreement broke up in September 2018 after Cs withdrew their support from Díaz's government, prompting Díaz to announce the Parliament's dissolution on 8 October and call a snap election for 2 December 2018. Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón (; born 29 February 1972) is a Spanish politician who has been Prime Minister of Spain since June 2018. He has also been Secretary-General of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) since June 2017, having previously held that office from 2014 to 2016.
