2018 Hobart International
The 2018 Hobart International was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 25th edition of the event and part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2018 WTA Tour. It took place at the Hobart International Tennis Centre in Hobart, Australia from 7 through 13 January 2018. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International Tournaments was a category for professional tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. The winner of a WTA International adds 280 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2020 season, there were 32 tournaments, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,000 ($775,000 for Shenzhen, and $525,000 for Guangzhou and Hong Kong). Lizette Faith Cabrera (born 19 December 1997) is an Australian tennis player of Filipino descent. She has a career-high singles ranking of No. 119, achieved on 3 February 2020. Nicole Melichar-Martinez (née Melichar; cz, Nicole Melicharová, ) is an American tennis player who specializes in doubles. She has won twelve doubles titles on the WTA Tour and one WTA 125 doubles title as well as two singles and seven doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. Olga Mykolayivna Savchuk ( uk, Ольга Миколаївна Савчук; born 20 September 1987) is a retired tennis player from Ukraine. Savchuk grew up in the city of Makiyivka in Donetsk province.
