2018 Hammarby Fotboll Season
The 2018 season was Hammarby Fotboll's 103rd in existence, their 49th season in Allsvenskan and their 4th consecutive season in the league. They competed in Allsvenskan and Svenska Cupen during the year. League play started in early April and lasted until early November. Stefan Billborn made his first season as manager. Summary In the off-season, on 4 January 2018, the board and Jesper Jansson, director of football, chose to sack manager Jakob Michelsen, citing differences regarding the view on transfers and playing style, as well as a disappointing development of the team and its results. Hammarby IF Fotbollförening, more commonly known as Hammarby Fotboll or Hammarby ( or, especially locally, ), is a Swedish football club from Stockholm founded in 1915. The club is based at Tele2 Arena in Johanneshov but founded in the neighbouring Södermalm district of Stockholm City Centre, an area the club considers its heartland. Competing in Sweden's first tier, Allsvenskan, Hammarby are placed tenth in the all-time Allsvenskan table, and has won the league once, in 2001. The club has competed in the Svenska Cupen final five times, winning their first title in 2021. The club's colours are green and white, which are reflected in its crest and kit. Vivaldo Borges dos Santos Neto (born 13 September 1996), commonly known as Neto Borges or simply Borges, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Ligue 1 club Clermont. Career Brazil Neto Borges emerged into playing regular first team football in 2017, spending part of the year at Boca Júnior and Itabaiana. IK Frej
IK Frej is a Swedish sports club located in Täby kyrkby. It currently plays in Division 4, the sixth tier in Swedish football. Background IK Frej was founded 5 February 1968 by Åke Berghagen and his friends. Today, IK Frej has more than 1200 members, most of whom are active in the football section. Approximately 50% of the youngsters aged 7–17 years in Täby Kyrkby are members of the club. Dušan Jajić (born 4 July 1998) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a midfielder for GIF Sundsvall. Karl Leo Bengtsson (born 26 May 1998) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Aris Limassol.
