2018 FC Cincinnati Season
The 2018 FC Cincinnati season was the club's third season of existence, and their third in the United Soccer League (USL). It was FC Cincinnati's second season as a second-tier team in the U.S. soccer pyramid, as the United States Soccer Federation provisionally promoted the USL from Division III to Division II for the 2017 season. FC Cincinnati played in the Eastern Conference of the USL. This was the final season of the club's USL incarnation. On May 29, 2018, Major League Soccer awarded the FCC ownership group an expansion franchise, which began play in MLS under the FC Cincinnati name in 2019. On September 26, 2018, the club clinched their first USL Regular Season Championship with a 4–1 victory over the Richmond Kickers. Football Club Cincinnati, commonly known as FC Cincinnati, is an American professional soccer club based in Cincinnati. The club plays in the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS). The team succeeded the lower-division team of the same name and was announced on May 29, 2018, when MLS awarded an expansion franchise to Cincinnati. Yoann Damet
Yoann Damet is a French association football coach who is currently an assistant coach with the LA Galaxy in the Major League Soccer. He twice served as interim head coach of FC Cincinnati at ages 29 and 30, making him the youngest head or assistant coach in Major League Soccer. Early life Damet was born on 19 March 1990 in Marseille, France. He first started playing football at age 8 following the 1998 FIFA World Cup, which was both hosted in and won by France. At age 17, he says he played club football at the fifth tier of the French football league system. Mitch Hildebrandt
Mitchell A. Hildebrandt (born November 12, 1988) is an American former professional association football, soccer goalkeeper. He is currently a coach for the Michigan Wolves youth academy. Career College and amateur Hildebrandt played his entire college career at Oakland University. He redshirted in 2007. In his first season as a starter for Oakland in 2009, Hildebrandt finished with seven clean sheets and a 0.73 goals against average and was named to the All-Summit League first team. Josué Prieto Currais (born 27 February 1993), commonly known as Josu, is a Spanish footballer who plays as a left back or a left midfielder for CF Peralada. Justin Hoyte
Justin Raymond Hoyte (born 20 November 1984) is a professional footballer. Primarily a right back, Hoyte previously played for English clubs Arsenal, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Millwall and Dagenham & Redbridge, as well as American side FC Cincinnati in both the USL and MLS. Garrett Halfhill (born July 26, 1993) is an American soccer player who currently plays for New York Cosmos in the National Premier Soccer League. Jimmy McLaughlin
James Joseph McLaughlin III (born April 30, 1993) is an American former professional soccer midfielder who most recently played for USL Championship side Louisville City. He began his professional career in 2012 as a homegrown player for MLS side Philadelphia Union. However, after two years without seeing much playing time, he spent 2014 and 2015 on loan to the Harrisburg City Islanders of the United Soccer League (USL). Corben Bone
Corben Bone (born September 16, 1988 in Plano, Texas) is an American former professional soccer player. Career College and amateur Bone played college soccer at Wake Forest University from 2007 to 2009 where he appeared in 68 games scoring 15 goals and adding 38 assists. He was a member of Wake Forest's 2007 NCAA College Cup Championship team. He was named ACC Offensive Player of the year in 2009. Danni König
Danni König (born 17 December 1986) is a retired Danish professional footballer. Career Born in Tingbjerg, König played as a youth player with Brønshøj BK U-19 team before signing with the Brønshøj BK pro team in 2005. Kenneth "Kenney" Walker (born December 23, 1988) is an American professional association football, soccer player. Early life Kenney Walker was born on December 23, 1988, in Wickliffe, Ohio to Mark Walker and Dawn Hoban. He attended Wickliffe High School, where he played soccer for his senior year.
