2018 Esiliiga B
The 2018 Esiliiga B was the 6th season of the Esiliiga B, third-highest Estonian league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2013. Teams Of the 10 participating teams 4 remained following the 2017 Esiliiga B. The 2017 champions Kalju U21, runners-up Kalev U21 and 4th placed Keila JK were promoted to Esiliiga, while 10th place Sillamäe Kalev U21 was relegated and Viimsi JK and Raasiku Joker decided not to participate in 2018 Esiliiga B. For this season those six teams will be replaced by 6 II Liiga teams. They are: Lasnamäe Ajax, Nõmme United, Pärnu JK, Tallinna Legion, Flora U19 and Võru Helios. Only Tallinna Legion and Flora U19 have played in Esiliiga B before. Esiliiga B
The Esiliiga B is the third division in the Estonian football league system. The Esiliiga B is ranked below the Esiliiga and above the II liiga. As in most countries with low temperatures in winter time, the season starts in March and ends in November. Competition format The league consists of 10 clubs, all teams play each other four times. Both the winning team and the runners-up are promoted to the Esiliiga directly, whereas the third place club will participate in a two-legged play-off with the 8th place club of the Esiliiga for the spot in next year's competition. Same way the 2 bottom placed teams are relegated to the II liiga. FC Nõmme United
FC Nõmme United is an Estonian football club based in Nõmme, a district in Tallinn. The club was founded in 2000. They currently play in the Esiliiga, the second-highest division in the Estonian football. Their home ground is Männiku staadion. Led by Mart Poom, the club is renowned for its strong youth system. History The club was founded in 2000 by Enn Loog and was initially named FC Elion, before the name was changed to FC Nõmme United in 2006. From early years on, Mart Poom, who at the time was playing in the Premier League, contributed to the growth of the club. After Poom's retirement, Mart Poomi Jalgpallikool was founded which started to act as an academy to Nõmme United. Paide is a town in Estonia and the capital of Järva County, one of the 15 counties of Estonia. Kohtla-Järve is a city and municipality in northeastern Estonia, founded in 1924 and incorporated as a town in 1946. The city is highly industrial, and is both a processor of oil shales and is a large producer of various petrochemical products. Sportland Arena is an association football stadium in Tallinn, Estonia. Located next to Estonia's largest stadium A. Le Coq Arena, it is part of the Lilleküla Football Complex.
