Green Ronin Publishing is an American company based in Seattle, Washington. Founded in 2000 by Chris Pramas and Nicole Lindroos, they have published several role-playing game–related products. They won several awards for their games including multiple Origins, ENnie, Pen & Paper, and Inquest Fan Awards. History In early 1996, Chris Pramas acquired '' The Whispering Vault'' rights from Mike Nystul and formed Ronin Publishing with his brother, Jason Pramas, and their mutual friend, Neal Darcy. The company published two role playing game supplements, ''The Book of Hunts'' (1997) for ''The Whispering Vault'' and '' Blood of the Valiant'' for '' Feng Shui''. John Snead
John Snead is a freelance role-playing writer who lives in Portland, Oregon. He studied math and history (B.A.) and cultural anthropology (MA). He has been gaming since 1980 and became a full-time designer and writer of role-playing games in 1998. Snead has worked for Chaosium, White Wolf, Last Unicorn, and Green Ronin, and Onyx Path. Early life and education His education includes majors in Mathematics and History and minors in Classics and Physics from Washington University in St. Louis as well as a M.A. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Ross Isaacs
Ross A. Isaacs is a game designer who has worked primarily on role-playing games. He had done a scattering of freelance work for Alderac Entertainment Group and Chaosium before doing more extensive work for Holistic Designs. Isaacs contributed to Chaosium's ''Nephilim'' line, and ended up at Last Unicorn Games (LUG) shortly thereafter. As a new employee at LUG, he did the initial work on the "Icon" system for their ''Star Trek'' games, and after the design of ''Icon'' was done, he was made line developer for the '' Star Trek: The Next Generation Role-playing Game'' (1998). Evil Hat Productions is a company that produces role-playing games and other tabletop games. Chief among them is the free indie RPG, ''Fate'', which has won numerous awards. History Fred Hicks had been working with Lydia Leong, Rob Donoghue, and others to run LARPs at AmberCon NorthWest starting in 1999, and came up with the name Evil Hat for themselves. While on a trip to Lake Tahoe, friends Hicks and Donoghue developed a new game based on a conversation about running another ''Amber'' game and fixing some problems with ''FUDGE''; the result was ''Fate'' which Hicks and Donoghue would publish under the name Evil Hat. Donoghue and Hicks released a complete first-edition of ''Fate'' through Yahoo! Groups (January 2003) then cleaned up the technical writing and slightly polished the system for a second edition (August 2003). Reception John O'Neill reviewed ''Down Darker Trails'' for '' Black Gate'', and stated that "''CoC'' has been sorely lacking a weird western sourcebook, so I was very pleased to see Kevin Ross and his friends at Chaosium release ''Down Darker Trails'', a massive full-color 256-page hardcover which lovingly brings Mythos horror to the old west. Kenneth Hite
Kenneth Hite (born September 15, 1965) is a writer and role-playing game designer. Hite is the author of Trail of Cthulhu and Night's Black Agents role-playing games, and lead designer of the 5th edition of '' Vampire: the Masquerade''. Education Hite holds an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Chicago and a bachelor's degree in Cartography from East Central University. Career Kenneth Hite has been designing games part-time since 1981 and full-time since 1995. Some of his early design work was featured in the ''Nephilim'' role-playing game for Chaosium before the line closed down in 1997. Adam Scott Glancy is an author and game designer known for co-developing ''Delta Green'', as well as penning game settings, source books, short fiction, and essays related to the H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos. The ''Zweihänder'' () (German 'two-hander'), also ''Doppelhänder'' ('double-hander'), ''Beidhänder'' ('both-hander'), ''Bihänder'' or ''Bidenhänder'', is a large two-handed sword primarily in use during the 16th century. ''Zweihänder'' swords developed from the longswords of the Late Middle Ages and became the hallmark weapon of the German ''Landsknechte'' from the time of Maximilian I (d. 1519) and during the Italian Wars of 1494–1559. The '' Goliath Fechtbuch'' (1510) shows an intermediate form between longsword and ''Zweihänder''. These swords represent the final stage in the trend of increasing size that started in the 14th century.
