2018 Copa Constitució
The 2018 Copa Constitució was the 26th version of the national football knockout tournament involving clubs from Andorra. The cup began on 21 January 2018 and ended on 20 May 2018 with the final. The winners of the cup earned a place in the 2018–19 Europa League and would have joined the competition in the preliminary round. UE Santa Coloma were the defending champions having won the cup in the previous season by defeating FC Santa Coloma in the final by a score of 1–0. Format The 2018 Copa Constitució was contested by twelve clubs. Schedule First round Eight clubs competed in the first round. The matches were played on 21 January 2018. FC Encamp
FC Encamp is an Andorran football club based in Encamp. Founded in 1950, it is the oldest football club of the Andorran First Division. The club currently plays in Primera Divisió. History FC Encamp was founded in 1950 being the dean of the Andorran premier league and the second football club created in the pyrenean country of Andorra after FC Andorra (founded in 1942). Successfully the team won the Primera Divisió in the 1995–96 season, and five years later their second league title (2001–02) qualifying for the UEFA Cup. Next season they ended the regular league in the 2nd position being able to play in the UEFA Intertoto Cup. Although for the 2004/05 season they were relegated to Segona Divisió, the 2nd best division. In 2005–06, they were promoted back to the Primera Divisió. 2017–18 Segona Divisió
The 2017–18 Segona Divisió, also known as the Lliga Biosphere, was the 19th season of second-tier football in Andorra. This season began on 23 September 2017 and ended on 13 May 2018. Inter Club d'Escaldes won the league in the previous season and were promoted along with second-placed Penya Encarnada to the 2017–18 Primera Divisió. Format Ten clubs competed for the league title. The clubs played each other twice for a total of 18 matches for each club. The three "B" teams could not be promoted. Five clubs then advanced to a play-off to determine which club would be promoted. The 2017–18 Primera Divisió, also known as Lliga Multisegur Assegurances, was the 23rd season of top-tier football in Andorra. The season began on 17 September 2017 and ended on 20 May 2018. The defending champions are FC Santa Coloma having won their eleventh championship the previous season. The winner of the league this season will earn a place in the preliminary round of the 2018–19 Champions League, and the second-placed club will earn a place in the preliminary round of the 2018–19 Europa League. The Estadi Nacional is a stadium located in Andorra la Vella. It is the national stadium of Andorra, and is used for association football and rugby union. It has a capacity of 3,306, and the pitch is made of artificial turf. History The stadium was built at the former ground of the Camp d'Esports del M.I. Consell General. Construction started in 2013 and finished in 2014. The stadium is the home of the Andorra national football team and the Andorra national rugby union team. The first official match was a 1–2 defeat to Wales valid for the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying Group B, played on 9 September 2014, after the 3G artificial pitch passed UEFA inspection a week before the match. UE Engordany
Unió Esportiva Engordany is an Andorran football and basketball club based in Escaldes-Engordany. The club football section plays in Primera Divisió. History The club was founded on 2 October 1980 as Unió Esportiva Engordany Futbol Club in the main venue of Engordany by Manuel Puerta Martín, Manuel Varela Valés and Josep Rodríguez Sànchez. On 28 January 1981 the club was established and was later renamed simply as UE Engordany. In 2001 the club was affiliated in the FAF and began competing in the Segona Divisió, being promoted to Primera Divisió in 2003. However the club was relegated the following year after one season playing in the Andorran top league. In the 2006–07 season they finished 3rd in the Andorran 2nd division. FC Lusitanos, also known as Lusitans, was an Andorran football club from Andorra la Vella which was founded in 1999 and currently play in Segona Divisió. Lusitanos won their first Primera Divisió title in 2011–12 and its second national championship the following season. The club's name, crest and kit reflect its Portuguese identity. Atlètic Club d'Escaldes, also commonly known as Atlètic d'Escaldes, is an Andorran football club based in Escaldes-Engordany, currently playing in Primera Divisió. History Atlètic Club d'Escaldes was founded on 20 May 2002 in Escaldes-Engordany joining Segona Divisió the same year. At the end of 2003–04 season the club was promoted to Primera Divisió. During three seasons the club was playing in the top flight until 2006–07 season when it was relegated to Segona Divisió.
