2018 Capital Football Season
The 2018 Capital Football season was the sixth season under the new competition format in the Australian Capital Territory. The league premier for the new structure qualifies for the National Premier Leagues finals series, competing with the other state federation premiers in a final knockout tournament to decide the National Premier Leagues Champion for 2018. Capital Football is the trading name for the ACT Football Federation Incorporated, the state governing body for association football, soccer in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia, Australian Capital Territory (ACT), but also has affiliated clubs based in surrounding areas of New South Wales. It is affiliated with Football Australia, the national governing body. History Capital Football was founded in the 1960s as the ''ACT Soccer Federation Incorporated''. The organisation replaced the defunct ''Federal Capital Territory Soccer Football Association'' which controlled soccer in the ACT between 1926 and 1932 and the ''Federal Monaro District Soccer Association'' which lasted two years (1932–33). Monaro Panthers FC (formerly known as Inter Monaro SC) is an Australian association football club based in the city of Queanbeyan, New South Wales. Cooma Tigers Football Club is an Australian semi-professional association football club based in Cooma, New South Wales. The club is affiliated with Capital Football and currently competes in the Community State Leagues Capital Football in the ACT. Cooma's home venue is Nijong Oval. Canberra White Eagles FC (commonly known simply as White Eagles) is an Australian amateur association football club based in the Woden Valley region of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. Queanbeyan City FC
Queanbeyan City Football Club is an Australian amateur association football club based in the NSW city of Queanbeyan, Australia. The club was founded in 1966 and currently competes in ACT competitions including the ACT Capital League. History The club was established in 1966 as ''Queanbeyan Makedonia'' by Done Dimov, Angelo Hadzis and Vic Tsalakos. The club registered with the ACT Soccer Federation on 17 March 1966 and entered the ACT Second Division. However, Hungaria was forced to fold and Queanbeyan was chosen to replace the club in the first division. ACT State League
The Capital Football State League is an amateur soccer league system based in the Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT) region. The league system is organised and run by Capital Football. It represents levels three and below for men in the ACT league pyramid beneath the ACT NPL 1 and Capital Premier League, and level 2 and below for women beneath the ACT NPL W. Men's structure The ACT State League men's structure is broken into fourteen leagues composed of ten All-Age State League Competitions and four age restricted Masters Competitions. Kofi Danning
Duke Kofi Appiah Danning (born 2 March 1991) is a Ghanaian-born Australian footballer who plays for National Premier Leagues club Belconnen United. Biography Early life Danning was born in Kumasi in southern central Ghana.
