2018 Campeonato Pernambucano
The 2018 Campeonato Pernambucano (officially the Pernambucano da Série A1 de 2018) was the 104th edition of the state championship of Pernambuco organized by FPF. The championship began on 17 January and ended on 8 April. Sport were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Central in the semi-finals. Náutico defeated Central 2–1 on aggregate to win their 22nd Campeonato Pernambucano title, the first one since 2004. As champions, Náutico qualified for the 2019 Copa do Brasil and 2019 Copa do Nordeste. Central and Sport qualified for 2019 Copa do Brasil as runners-up and third placed team, respectively. Sport declined to participate in the 2019 Copa do Nordeste. They were replaced by Santa Cruz (best second-team in the 2018 RNC). Salgueiro qualified for 2019 Pré-Copa do Nordeste via RNC. Campeonato Pernambucano
The Campeonato Pernambucano de Futebol (Pernambucan Football Championship, in English) is the football championship of Pernambuco state, Brazil, and is organized by the FPF. The first edition of the Campeonato Pernambucano was played in 1915, and was won by Flamengo de Recife, a defunct club. In the 2022 season, 10 clubs played for the title. The 2019 Campeonato Pernambucano (officially the Pernambucano da Série A1 de 2019) was the 105th edition of the state championship of Pernambuco organized by FPF. The championship began on 19 January and ended on 21 April. In the Finals, Sport and the defending champions Náutico tied 2–2 on aggregate. Sport won on penalties to win their 42nd Campeonato Pernambucano title. As champions, Sport qualified for the 2020 Copa do Brasil and 2020 Copa do Nordeste. Náutico and Afogados qualified for 2020 Copa do Brasil as runners-up and third placed team, respectively. Santa Cruz (best second-team in the 2019 RNC) qualified for the 2020 Copa do Nordeste. Lacerdão
Estádio Luiz José de Lacerda, usually known as Lacerdão, is a multi-purpose stadium in Caruaru, Pernambuco, Brazil. It is currently used primarily for football matches. The stadium was built in 1980 and has a capacity of 30,000. The Lacerdão is owned by Central Sport Club. The stadium is named after Luiz José de Lacerda, who was president of Central Sport Club from 1962 to 1964, 1966, 1977 to 1983, and in 1992 and 1993. Caruaru
Caruaru is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Pernambuco. Paulista is a municipality in Pernambuco, Brazil, with a population of 334,376 as of 2020. It has the highest Human Development Index (HDI) of the Recife metropolitan area. Afogados da Ingazeira Futebol Clube, known as Afogados da Ingazeira or simply Afogados, is a List of football clubs in Brazil, Brazilian football club from Afogados da Ingazeira, Pernambuco. History Founded in 2013, Afogados' first professional competition occurred in the following year, as the club played in the Campeonato Pernambucano (lower levels), Campeonato Pernambucano Série A2.
