2018 Stock Car Brasil Season
The 2018 Stock Car Brasil Championship was the fortieth season of the Stock Car Brasil. Teams and drivers All teams compete with a Chevrolet Cruze Stock Car. Team changes *The Squadra G-Force team premiered in 2018 at Stock Car after purchasing the cars of C2 team, that did not compete in 2017. * Full Time Sports reduced their program from six to four cars. After the team decided to withdraw the two cars of satellite team Full Time Academy. FTS and Bassani Racing still the partnership with two cars, but now without the name and sponsor of HERO, that moved to RCM Motorsport, with a new sponsor the team pass to be called Texaco Racing. The Velopark is a motorsport centre opened in 2008, located in the city of Nova Santa Rita, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It was designed to have various layouts so that it could accommodate a wide variety of vehicles, such as karts, dragsters, and formula and touring cars. The Velopark consists of a main racecourse, a straight for dragsters, and three kart tracks including an oval, the only oval made for karts in South America. Autódromo José Carlos Pace
The Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as Interlagos, is a motorsport circuit located in the city of São Paulo, in the neighborhood of Interlagos. It was inaugurated on 12 May 1940, by the federal intervener Adhemar de Barros. The traditional name of the circuit and of the neighborhood itself comes from the fact that it is located in a region between two large artificial lakes, Guarapiranga and Billings, which were built in the beginning of the 20th century to supply the city with water and electricity. In 1985 the circuit was renamed to honor the Formula 1 driver José Carlos Pace, who died in a plane crash in 1977. Attached to its facilities there is a Kart circuit named after Ayrton Senna. The Autódromo Internacional Zilmar Beux de Cascavel is an automobile racing complex located off Highway BR-277 in the city of Cascavel, Paraná, Brazil. The paved track is long. History The first races were carried out by automobiles on city streets in the 1960s, by amateurs and locals, which led to the building of a permanent location for motorsport events. In 1973 the Automóvel Clube de Cascavel circuit opened, being the third track with asphalt in the country. The track came to host main competitions at national level.
