The 2018 Bengaluru Open was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the second edition of the tournament which was part of the 2018 ATP Challenger Tour. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Jay Clarke (tennis)
Jay Alexander Clarke (born 27 July 1998) is a British tennis player. In 2017, on a Wimbledon wildcard, Clarke and Marcus Willis beat the defending doubles champions and second seeds, Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert, in five sets, to progress to the third round. Clarke has won four Futures titles and two Challenger titles. Early and personal life Clarke has an older brother Curtis (by four years) and an older sister Yasmin (by nine years), who are both former professional tennis players, and all were coached by their father Earol. Purav Raja ( ; born 7 December 1985) is an Indian tennis player. He specializes in doubles and competes on the ATP World Tour. He has 2 ATP world tour level titles in men's doubles. He represents India in the Davis Cup. Personal and early life Purav Raja grew up in Mumbai and began playing tennis when he was 7 years old. Sumit Nagal
Sumit Nagal (born 16 August 1997) is an Indian professional tennis player. He won the 2015 Wimbledon boys' doubles title with his Vietnamese partner Lý Hoàng Nam, thus becoming the sixth Indian player to win a junior Grand Slam title. He is currently the highest-ranked Indian singles tennis player and since 2018, he has been a regular member of India's national Davis Cup squad. Saketh Myneni (born 19 October 1987) is an Indian professional tennis player. He is conferred with the prestigious Arjuna Award in 2017 and represents India in the Davis Cup.
