2018 ACB Playoffs
The 2018 ACB Playoffs, also known as 2018 Liga Endesa Playoffs for sponsorship reasons, was the postseason tournament of the ACB's 2017–18 season, which began September 29, 2017. The playoffs started on 27 May 2018 and ended on 19 June 2018 with the Finals. Valencia Basket was the defending champion, but was defeated in quarterfinals by Herbalife Gran Canaria, who achieved qualification to the EuroLeague for the first time ever, but was defeated in semifinals by Real Madrid who won their 34th title after defeating Kirolbet Baskonia in finals. Format At the end of the regular season, the eight teams with the most wins qualify for the playoffs. The seedings are based on each team's record. The bracket is fixed; there is no reseeding. Jaycee Don Carroll (born April 16, 1983) is a former American-born naturalized Azerbaijani professional basketball player. He has also represented the senior Azerbaijani national team. Jānis Timma (born 2 July 1992) is a Latvian professional basketball player for Grises de Humacao of the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN).
