The 2017–18 season was Wycombe Wanderers' 131st season in existence and their 25th consecutive season in the Football League. Competitions Pre-season Wycombe Wanderers announced on 18 April 2017 that they will face AFC Wimbledon during their pre-season run-in. On 26 April 2017, A friendly against Maidenhead United was confirmed. Two days later, the club announced they will play Aldershot Town during pre-season. The ''Chairboys'' will kick off pre-season against Slough Town. Maidenhead is a market town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in the county of Berkshire, England, on the southwestern bank of the River Thames. It had an estimated population of 70,374 and forms part of the border with southern Buckinghamshire. The Recreation Ground, currently known as The EBB Stadium at The Recreation Ground for sponsorship reasons and informally known as The Rec, is a football ground in Aldershot, Hampshire, England. Football matches have been played there since 1927 when Aldershot (later reformed as Aldershot Town) was founded. The ground hosted league football between 1932 and 1992 when Aldershot were members of the Football League. Its current tenants Aldershot Town have used the ground since forming in 1992 and the ground once again hosted league football between 2008 and 2013. Nick Freeman (born 7 November 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Stevenage. Career Freeman began his career with non-League teams Histon, Hemel Hempstead Town and Biggleswade Town before having a successful trial at League Two club Wycombe Wanderers in July 2016. He made his professional debut for the Chairboys on 13 August 2016 in a 2–1 victory against Grimsby Town. Harlington is a district of Hayes the London Borough of Hillingdon and one of five historic parishes partly developed into London Heathrow Airport and associated businesses, the one most heavily developed being Harmondsworth. Dayle Southwell (born 20 October 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays for Gainsborough Trinity F.C. as a forward. Southwell began his career with his home town team Grimsby Town and remained with the club for three seasons as well as a loan spell at Harrogate Town before being released in 2014.
