2017–18 Pro A Season
The 2017–18 Pro A season is the 96th season of the Pro A, the top basketball league in France organised by the Ligue nationale de basket (LNB). On 2 March 2018, Jeep became the new main sponsor of the league and the league was re-named the Jeep Élite. Teams Promotion and relegation Orléans Loiret Basket and SLUC Nancy Basket were relegated after the 2016–17 season after the teams ended in the last two places. JL Bourg promoted as the regular season champion of the Pro B season. Boulazac Basket Dordogne was promoted as the winner of the Pro B promotion play-offs. 2016–17 Pro A Season
The 2016–17 Pro A season was the 95th season of the Pro A, the top basketball league in France organised by the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB). The season started on 24 September 2016 and ended on 24 June 2017. A total of 330 games were played over the season, as Élan Chalon won its second national championship in club history after beating SIG Strasbourg in the playoff finals. D. J. Cooper of Élan Béarnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez was named Most Valuable Player of the regular season. Teams Promotion and relegation Rouen Métropole Basket and STB Le Havre were relegated after finishing in the last two spots in the 2015–16 Pro A season. Cholet Basket
Cholet Basket is a professional basketball club that is based in Cholet, France. The club plays in the French League. Their home arena is La Meilleraie. Established in 1975, Cholet won its first French championship in the 2009–10 season. In 1998 and 1999, Cholet won the French Cup. History Establishment The team debuted in the 1st division in the 1987–88 season and after managing to get to the premier league in only 12 years. The team were able to sustain themselves in the league, and were consistently in the top 10 teams having a highly successful youth system. The LNB Pro B, commonly known as Pro B, is the French basketball league system, 2nd-tier level men's professional basketball league in France. It is the second division of the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB), which has organized the league since the year 1987. The regular season champion and the winner of the promotion playoffs from each Pro B season are promotion and relegation, promoted to the French basketball league system, top-tier level LNB Pro A, replaced by the bottom two teams in Pro A. The two last placed teams are relegated to the third level, which is the Nationale Masculine 1, NM1. JL Bourg
Jeunesse Laïque de Bourg-en-Bresse, commonly known as JL Bourg or simply Bourg, is a basketball club based in Bourg-en-Bresse, France that plays in the Pro A. Their home arena is Ekinox, which has a capacity of 3,548 people. History In 2014, JL Bourg adopted its new home arena Ekinox which replaced the Salle des Sports.
