2017–18 Oud-Heverlee Leuven Season
The 2017–18 season was Oud-Heverlee Leuven's 16th competitive season in professional football and the team's second consecutive season at the second level following their relegation from the Belgian Pro League in 2016. It was also the first season under the ownership of the King Power International Group led by Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. OH Leuven lost points early throughout the season as several key starting players arrived only late in the 2017 summer transfer window, resulting in a poor league start of 2 wins, 4 draws and 1 loss from the opening 7 games. The team was not able to overtake Beerschot-Wilrijk anymore during the opening tournament, missing the first chance to qualify for the promotion play-offs by three points. Oud-Heverlee Leuven
Oud-Heverlee Leuven (), also called OH Leuven or OHL, is a Belgian football club from the city of Leuven. It was created in 2002 from the merger of three clubs, '' F.C. Zwarte Duivels Oud-Heverlee'', whose registration number it inherited, ''Daring Club Leuven'', and '' Stade Leuven''. The club's home ground is Den Dreef, located in Heverlee. Nick Gillekens (born 5 July 1995) is a Belgian professional association football, footballer who plays as a goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper for Belgian First Division A club K.V.C. Westerlo, Westerlo. Career Gillekens debuted for OH Leuven in the 2014–15 Belgian Cup in the sixth round match against K.V. Kortrijk, Kortrijk, a 1–3 loss. However, that season he was part of the reserves and only fourth goalkeeper behind Logan Bailly, Yves Lenaerts and Senne Vits. Willem II (), also known as Willem II Tilburg, is a Dutch football club based in Tilburg, Netherlands. Boubacar "Copa" Barry (born 30 December 1979) is an Ivorian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Having begun his career at ASEC Mimosas, he moved to France in 2001, where he played for Rennes' reserve team. In 2003, he joined Belgian side Beveren where he stayed four years. He then spent ten years at K.S.C. Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen amassing 239 league appearances.
