National Premier League
The National Premier League, also known for sponsorship purposes as the Red Stripe Premier League, is sanctioned by the Jamaican Football Federation as the top division for men's association football in Jamaica. Contested between 12 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Jamaica's regional Super Leagues where the two lowest placed teams are relegated to their corresponding local second division league. History The National Premier League was formed in 1973 to serve as the top tier of Jamaican professional club football. The league's inaugural season kicked off on September 22, 1973 as the ''Kingston Major League'', and finished with Santos F.C. as the first title winners. 13 different clubs have been crowned champions of Jamaica. South Central Confederation Super League
The South Central Confederation Super League is a second division football league in the nation of Jamaica. The twelve teams that currently compete in the league are based in the parishes of Clarendon, Manchester, St. Catherine and St. Elizabeth. At the end of each season the winners qualify for the National Premier League Playoff along with the winners of the KSAFA Super League, Eastern Confederation Super League and Western Confederation Super League. Clarendon, Jamaica
Clarendon is a parish in Jamaica. It is located on the south of the island, roughly halfway between the island's eastern and western ends. Located in the county of Middlesex, it is bordered by Manchester on the west, Saint Catherine in the east, and in the north by Saint Ann. Its capital and largest town is May Pen. History Clarendon was named in honour of the Lord Chancellor Sir Edward Hyde, Earl of Clarendon. Ricardo Gardner
Ricardo Wayne Gardner (born 25 September 1978), commonly known as Bibi, is a Jamaican former professional footballer. He works as assistant coach at Portmore United. A left winger, he could also play in the centre of midfield or at left wingback. He last played for Bolton Wanderers in May 2012, completing a 14-year spell at the club, of which 11 were spent in the Premier League. Harbour View Stadium
Harbour View Stadium is a football stadium in Harbour View, near Kingston, Jamaica. It was built by Carvel Stewart and Harbour View Football Club in the 1990s, as a part of the club's effort to transform into a truly professional organization. It is the home stadium for the Harbour View Football Club, and has a capacity of 7,000 spectators. The national team has played several international games at this stadium, as well as the club when they compete in the CFU club championships and the CONCACAF club championships. Jerome (; la, Eusebius Sophronius Hieronymus; grc-gre, Εὐσέβιος Σωφρόνιος Ἱερώνυμος; – 30 September 420), also known as Jerome of Stridon, was a Christian priest, confessor, theologian, and historian; he is commonly known as Saint Jerome. Jerome was born at Stridon, a village near Emona on the border of Dalmatia and Pannonia. He is best known for his translation of the Bible into Latin (the translation that became known as the Vulgate) and his commentaries on the whole Bible.
