2017–18 Kategoria E Parë
The 2017–18 Kategoria e Parë was the 70th official season of the Albanian football second division since its establishment. The season began on 16 September 2017 and ended on 16 May 2018. There were 20 teams competing this season, split in 2 groups, each with 10 teams. The top 5 teams from each group qualified to the promotion round, while the last teams qualified to the relegation round. The 2 winners of the qualification round gained promotion to the 2018–19 Kategoria Superiore, and played the division's final against each other. Kastrioti and Tirana were promoted to the 2018–19 Kategoria Superiore. Naftëtari, Shkumbini, Tërbuni, Vllaznia B were relegated to the 2018−19 Kategoria e Dytë. Tirana won their first Kategoria e Parë title on 16 May 2018 after beating Kastrioti in the final match. Kategoria E Parë
Kategoria e Parë is the second level of professional football in Albania, behind the Kategoria Superiore and above the Kategoria e Dytë. Format Kategoria e Parë was founded in 1930. It is made up of 14 teams. The 2 best ranked teams gain promotion to the Kategoria Superiore, while the teams ranked from the 3rd to the 6th position qualify to a play-off tournament where the winner then plays a promotion play-off match against the 8th ranked team of Kategoria Superiore. KF Lushnja
KF Lushnja is an Albanian football (soccer), football club based in the city of Lushnjë in the County of Fier. Their home ground is the Abdurrahman Roza Haxhiu Stadium and they currently compete in the Kategoria e Parë. History Early history The club was originally formed in 1927 and the first football game held in the city of Lushnjë was played shortly after. This was a friendly game against Tomori Berat and the team consisted of young men from Lushnjë. The club was named Kongresi i Lushnjës following a proposal from a member of parliament and signatory of the Albanian Declaration of Independence Ferit Vokopola to name the club after the Congress of Lushnjë, which was where Vokopola himself was elected secretary. Bylis Ballsh
KF Bylis, also known as Bylis Ballsh, is an Albanian football club based in Ballsh, Mallakastër District. The club's home ground is the Adush Muça Stadium and they currently compete in the Kategoria Superiore. History Early history The club was formed in September 1972 as Ballshi i Ri, and they played in the Albanian Third Division between 1973 and 1976. But between 1976 and 1981, they were not allowed to participate in Albanian football due to laws restricting a single team from each district. They began playing once again in the Third Division in 1981, which they eventually won in 1986 and were promoted to the Albanian Second Division. Apolonia Fier
KF Apolonia is an Albanian football club based in Fier. The club was founded on 17 June 1925 and took its name from the nearby ruins of the ancient city of Apollonia. Klubi i Futbollit Burreli is an Albanian football club based in Burrel, Mat District. Their home ground is the Liri Ballabani Stadium and they compete in the Kategoria e Parë. History The club was founded in 1928, but was not an organised club until 1935 under the name ''Deja Burrel''. The name was changed in 1945 to ''31 Korriku Burreli'', which was again changed in 1951 to ''Puna Burrel''. Futboll Club Dinamo Tirana is an Albanian professional football club based in the country's capital Tirana. KF Egnatia, also known as Egnatia Rrogozhinë, is an Albanian football club based in Rrogozhinë. They play their home games at Rrogozhinë Stadium, which has a capacity of 4000 spectators. KS Korabi is an Albanian football club based in Peshkopi, named after the nearby Mount Korab, which is the tallest mountain in Albania and North Macedonia. The club's home ground is the Korabi Stadium. Sopoti Librazhd
KF Sopoti is an Albanian sports club based in Librazhd. The club currently competes in the Kategoria e Dytë, the third tier of football in Albania. History They were founded in 1948 under the name ''KS Albania Tabak Librazhd'', and they play their home games at the Sopoti Stadium. The club is named after the nearby Sopot Mountain. They spent the 1992/93, 1993/94, 1995/96 and 1996/97 seasons in the ''Kategoria Superiore''. Before the 1996/97 season, they changed their name back to Albania Tabak Librazhd, only to change it to Sopoti Librazhd once more the next year. Klubi i Futbollit Elbasani is an Albanian professional football club based in the city of Elbasan, that last competed in the Kategoria e Dytë, the third tier of football in the country. History The club was formed in 1913 as Klubi Futbollit Urani Elbasan, the result of the fusion between two clubs, ''Afërdita Elbasan'' and ''Përparimi Elbasan''.
