2017–18 JLT One-Day Cup
The 2017 JLT One-Day Cup was the 48th season of the official List A domestic cricket competition in Australia. It was played over a four-week period at the start of the domestic season to separate its schedule from the Sheffield Shield season. The tournament was held in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Hobart, with all 23 matches to be broadcast live on the Cricket Australia website and app. It was the first time in more than a decade that neither the Nine Network nor Fox Sports (Australia) have hosted a television broadcast of the tournament. The tournament was sponsored by Jardine Lloyd Thompson. New South Wales were the defending champions. They were eliminated from the tournament after losing their final group fixture to Victoria, when the match was abandoned due to an unsafe pitch. Cricket Australia (CA), formerly known as the Australian Cricket Board (ACB), is the governing body for professional and amateur cricket in Australia. Western Australia Cricket Team
The Western Australian Men’s cricket team, formerly nicknamed the Western Warriors, represent the Australian state of Western Australia in Australian domestic cricket. The team is selected and supported by the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA), and plays its home games at the WACA Ground and Perth Stadium in Perth. Nathan Lyon
Nathan Michael Lyon (born 20 November 1987) is an Australian international cricketer. He made his Test debut in 2011 and plays domestic cricket for New South Wales. Lyon is an off spin bowler and a lower-order right-handed batsman. Considered the most successful off-spin bowler for Australia, Lyon holds the record for the most Test wickets taken by an Australian off-spin bowler, passing Hugh Trumble's 141 wickets in 2015. Jay Stephen Lenton (born 10 August 1990) is an Australian cricketer who plays for New South Wales. A wicket-keeper, he made his first-class debut on 6 November 2015 in the 2015–16 Sheffield Shield. He made his Twenty20 (T20) debut for Sydney Thunder on 1 January 2017 in the 2016–17 Big Bash League season. Daniel Peter Hughes (born 16 February 1989) is an Australian first-class cricketer who plays for New South Wales. Hughes plays for New South Wales and made his Twenty20 debut on 26 December 2012 playing for Sydney Sixers against Hobart Hurricanes. Mickey Edwards (cricketer)
Michael William Edwards (born 23 December 1994) is an Australian cricketer. He represents New South Wales in the JLT Cup and Sheffield Shield competitions. Patrick James Cummins (born 8 May 1993) is an Australian international cricketer who captains the Australian cricket team in Test and ODI cricket. He is a fast bowler and right-handed batsman. Edward James McKenzie Cowan (born 16 June 1982) is an Australian former cricketer, who played domestically mainly for New South Wales and Tasmania as a left handed opening batsman. In March 2018, he announced his retirement from first-class cricket.
