2017–18 Four Hills Tournament
The 2017–18 Four Hills Tournament, part of the 2017–18 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup, is currently taking place at the four traditional venues of Oberstdorf, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Innsbruck and Bischofshofen, located in Germany and Austria, between 30 December 2017 and 6 January 2018. Kamil Stoch successfully defended his title, becoming the first ski jumper since Gregor Schlierenzauer in 2012–13 to do so. By winning all four events, Stoch became the second ski jumper in history to achieve this feat, Sven Hannawald being the first in 2001–02. 2017–18 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup
The 2017–18 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup was the 39th World Cup season in ski jumping for men, the 21st official World Cup season in ski flying, and the 7th World Cup season for ladies. The season began on 19 November 2017 in Wisła, Poland, and concluded on 25 March 2018 in Planica, Slovenia. The highlight of the ladies' season was the first edition of the "Lillehammer Triple", contested between 1–3 December 2017 in Lillehammer, with a total of three individual events: two on the normal hill and one on the large hill. The best athletes of these three competitions received an additional prize money of €10,000 (divided between the Top 3). On 16 December 2017, the first ever ladies' World Cup team event was held in Hinterzarten. Karl Geiger
Karl Geiger (born 11 February 1993) is a German ski jumper who has competed at FIS Ski Jumping World Cup, World Cup level since 2012. He won gold medals in both the team and mixed team competitions at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2021, 2021 Nordic World Ski Championships, and an individual gold medal at the FIS Ski Flying World Championships 2021, 2021 Ski Flying World Championships. Andreas Kolset Stjernen (born 30 July 1988) is a Norwegian retired ski jumper. He is the son of former ski jumper Hroar Stjernen. Career He made his debut in the Continental Cup in February 2005 in Brotterode, scoring two 49th places over two days. His first time among the top thirty occurred in March 2006 in Bischofshofen when he finished 28th, and his first time among the top ten occurred in March 2009 in Trondheim when he finished eighth. Dawid Grzegorz Kubacki ( ; born 12 March 1990) is a Polish ski jumper. He is a member of the national team and competed at the Winter Olympics in 2014, 2018 and 2022, winning two bronze medals. Richard "Richi" Freitag (; born 14 August 1991) is a German former ski jumper who competed at World Cup level from 2010 to 2022.
