2017 TCR International Series Monza Round
The 2017 TCR International Series Monza round was the fourth round of the 2017 TCR International Series season. It took place on 13–14 May at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. Roberto Colciago won the first race starting from second position, driving a Honda Civic Type-R TCR, and Stefano Comini gained the second one, driving an Audi RS3 LMS TCR. Ballast Due to the results obtained in the previous round, Stefano Comini received +30 kg, Jean-Karl Vernay received +20 kg and Benjamin Lessennes received +10 kg. Nevertheless, Lessennes didn't take part at this event, so he didn't take the ballast. Autodromo Nazionale Monza
The Monza Circuit ( it, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, , National Automobile Racetrack of Monza) is a race track near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. Built in 1922, it was the world's third purpose-built motor racing circuit after Brooklands and Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis and the oldest in mainland Europe. Davit "Data" Kajaia ( ka, დავით "დათა" ქაჯაია; born 10 January 1984 in Tbilisi) is a Georgia (country), Georgian racing driver, best known for winning the Legends Euro Nations Cup in 2012 and 2013. He currently drives for the MIA Force team in the Georgian Circuit Championship. Career Data Kajaia started his career in the Georgian Speed Slalom series in 2004. The next season, he achieved third place at the wheel of BMW M3, and won the national title a year later. Ferenc Ficza Jr. (born 13 May 1996) is a Hungarian racing driver currently competing in the European Touring Car Cup. He previously competed in the TCR International Series and SEAT León Eurocup. Racing career Ficza began his career in 2008 in the Hungarian Touring Car Championship. He switched to the Hungarian Suzuki Bio Cup in 2009, he won the championship in 2010. In 2012 Ficza made his European Touring Car Cup debut with XFX Unicorse Team, driving an Alfa Romeo 156. In 2013 he stayed in the European Touring Car Cup but switched to Zengő Motorsport, racing in the Single-makes Trophy. He finished 8th in the championship standings that year. Jaap van Lagen (born 22 December 1976 in Ede) is a Dutch racing driver, who is a former competitor in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series and a former Eurocup Megane Trophy champion. He has also raced in the World Touring Car Championship. Hugo Valente (born 17 June 1992) is a French former auto racing driver. He raced in the World Touring Car Championship for SUNRED Engineering, Campos Racing and the Lada factory team having made his debut in the series at the 2012 FIA WTCC Race of China. For 2017, he made the switch to the TCR International Series, where part way through the season he announced his retirement from motorsport. He was born in Choisy-le-Roi. James Nash (born 16 December 1985, in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire) is a British auto racing driver. On 16 October 2011 at the final round of the 2011 BTCC season he clinched the independents' championship. In 2014, he is competing in the Blancpain Endurance Series for the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT. Racing career Early years Nash raced in karting until 2005 when he started racing in Formula Ford cars.
