2017 South American Under-17 Football Championship
The 2017 South American Under-17 Football Championship ( es, Campeonato Sudamericano Sub-17 Chile 2017, pt-BR, Campeonato Sul-Americano Sub-17 Chile 2017) was the 17th edition of the South American Under-17 Football Championship, a association football, football competition for the under-17 national teams in South America organized by CONMEBOL. It was held in Chile from 23 February to 19 March 2017. Brazil were crowned champions, and together with Chile, Paraguay and Colombia, which were the top four teams of this tournament, qualified for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India. Teams All ten CONMEBOL member national teams entered the tournament. 2007 South American U-17 Championship
The 2007 South American Under-17 Football Championship was played in Ecuador from 4 to 25 March 2007. The seven venues of the competition were the cities of Ambato, Azogues, Cuenca, Ibarra, Latacunga, Quito and Riobamba. The tournament provided four berths to the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup and six to the 2007 Pan American Games. Squads First round The ten national teams were divided in two groups of five teams each. The 2015 South American Under-17 Football Championship ( es, Campeonato Sudamericano Sub-17 Paraguay 2015, pt-BR, Campeonato Sul-Americano Sub-17 Paraguay 2015) was the 16th edition of the biennial international youth football tournament organized by CONMEBOL for players aged 17 and below. It was held in Paraguay from 4 to 29 March 2015. This tournament served as CONMEBOL's qualifier for the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile. The top four teams, tournament champions Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, and hosts Paraguay, qualified for the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, joining Chile who automatically qualified as hosts of the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Time In Chile
Time in Chile is divided into three time zones. Most of Continental Chile uses the time offset UTC−04:00 in winter time and UTC−03:00 in summer time, while the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica region uses the time offset UTC-03:00 the whole year. Additionally, Easter Island uses the time offset UTC−06:00 in winter time and UTC−05:00 in summer time. Until 2015, Continental Chile used the time offset UTC−04:00 and Easter Island used UTC−06:00 for standard time, with daylight saving time roughly between October and March every year. Curicó
Curicó (), meaning "Black Waters" in Mapudungun (originally meaning "Land of Black Water"), is the capital city of the Curicó Province, part of the Maule Region in Chile's central valley. The province lies between the provinces of Colchagua and Talca and extends from the Pacific to the Argentine frontier. Estadio La Granja
The Estadio La Granja is a sports venue which is located in Curicó, Maule Region, Chile. The stadium holds 8,278 people and is part of a large sporting complex which also features tennis courts, swimming pools, a gymnasium, a velodrome and some other sport fields. It is the home stadium of Curicó Unido; and the former home ground of ''Alianza de Curicó'', Luis Cruz, and Badminton de Curicó. The stadium, currently owned by the Municipality of Curicó, originally has a capacity of 4,000. The first change; in 1985; was an increase of about 1,200, and another change was an increase to a capacity of 6,000, effected in 2004. Estadio Fiscal De Talca
Estadio Fiscal de Talca is a multi-use public stadium in Talca, Chile. It is currently used mostly for association football matches and is the home stadium of Rangers. The stadium was built in 1930 as "Estadio Municipal de Talca". after seven years, in 1937, it would pass into the hands of the State and began to be called "Estadio Fiscal", with an original capacity of 17,000. In 2011 it was completely renovated, and currently holds 8,200 people (all seated). In July 2017, the Government of Chile announced that the stadium will expand its seating capacity to 16,000 by building the North and South ends.
