2017 FC Atyrau Season
The 2017 FC Atyrau season is the 17th successive season that the club will play in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Kazakhstan. Season events Prior top the start of the season, Zoran Vulić replaced Stoycho Mladenov as manager. Vulić resigned from his position on 11 April citing family reasons, with Sergei Pavlov being announced as his replacement on 13 April 2017. Atyrau's away game against Aktobe on 16 April, was postponed as Aktobe's pitch at their stadium was not ready after an extended period of winter weather. Sergei Pavlov resigned as manager on 21 September with the club in 11th position. FC Atyrau
Football Club Atyrau ( kk, "Атырау" футбол клубы, ''"Atyraý" fýtbol klýby'') is a professional association football, football club based in Atyrau, who last played in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest level of Kazakh football. The club's home ground is the 8,690-seat Munaishy Stadium, where they have played since their inception. History Founded as Prikaspiets in 1980, they played only two seasons in the Soviet Second League. In 2000, the club was refounded as Akzhaiyk to play in the Kazakhstan First Division. Next season, they were promoted to the Kazakhstan Premier League with a new name Atyrau. The club colours, reflected in their badge and kit, are green and white. Zhasur Narzikulov ( kk, Жасұр Нәрзіқұлов; born 13 April 1984) is a Kazakhstani former football goalkeeper.
