2017 European Touring Car Cup
The 2017 FIA European Touring Car Cup was the thirteenth and last running of the FIA European Touring Car Cup. It consists of six events in Italy, Hungary, Germany, Portugal, Belgium and Czech Republic. The championship is again split into two categories: ETCC 1 (including TC2 Turbo, TC2, TCN-2 and Super 2000 machinery) and ETCC 2 (including Super 1600 machinery). Teams and drivers The races at the Nürburgring had both WTCC and ETCC competitors. ETCC competitors entered with their usual car numbers, but with 100 added up to it. Race calendar and results The first four rounds will support the World Touring Car Championship. TCR Europe Touring Car Series
The TCR Europe Touring Car Series is an annual touring car racing event that is held at various locations across Europe. The series is run in accordance with the TCR Touring Car regulations with production-based cars that are front-wheel drive and powered by 2.0-litre turbocharged engines. History On 15 October 2015, Marcello Lotti revealed plans for a European Series including one round from each TCR European championship (Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Russia and Benelux), starting from 2016. On 26 February 2016, the European Trophy was launched, with six rounds (Spanish championship was excluded for not having an own series and Benelux series had two rounds). Petr Fulín
Petr Fulín (born 8 February 1977) is a Czech racing driver. He competed in the European Touring Car Cup, where he has won the championship twice. He is a former World Touring Car Championship driver, who made his debut in 2014. Racing career Fulín began his career in 2007 in the BMW 1 Challenge, finishing 2nd in championship. In 2008 he switched to the SEAT León Supercopa Germany championship, racing in the championship for 4 years. Finishing 4th in the championship in 2010 & 2011. Fulín also made few one-off appearances in SEAT León Eurocup and Trofeo Abarth 500 Europe, before switching to the European Touring Car Cup in 2012. Autodrom Most
Autodrom Most is a hard-surfaced long race track for motorsport outside of the city of Most in the northwest of the Czech Republic. The racing circuit was built between 1978 and 1983, but the Most district was known for organizing motorcycle and car races earlier. Autodrome is used for races of cars, trucks, motorcycles and free circuit rides, but also for test rides of developed cars, training of drivers of fire engines, ambulance and police cars, as well as training of drivers in crisis situations, etc. In April 2021, the Most round was announced as being added into the Superbike World Championship series with a five-year agreement. In August 2021, Autodrom Most was announced as one of the replacement circuits for the WTCR in the 2021 season; and in November 2021, it was announced that Autodrom Most would be permanently included in the 2022 race calendar. Circuit Zolder
The Circuit Zolder, also known as Circuit Terlamen, is an undulating motorsport race track in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium. History Built in 1963, Zolder hosted the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix on 10 separate occasions in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as the 1980 Belgian motorcycle Grand Prix. F1 moved to Zolder in 1973 and with the exception of a race at Nivelles-Baulers in 1974, Zolder was the location of the Belgian Grand Prix until 1982. That year, Canadian driver Gilles Villeneuve was killed during qualifying at the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix. Villeneuve's Ferrari 126C2 collided at speed with the March 821 of Jochen Mass. The Ferrari was torn up in the accident and when rolling, Villeneuve was thrown from the car. After Villeneuve's death, the Belgian Grand Prix was held at Spa-Francorchamps in 1983, before returning to Zolder one final time in 1984. Circuito Internacional De Vila Real
The Circuito Internacional de Vila Real is a temporary street circuit in Vila Real, Portugal. This circuit was used for car and moto races. The circuit The circuit layout has suffered several changes through the times. Started as a street circuit in 1931, it was later reduced to a version in the 1950s, which lasted until 1991, with small chances in some corner, chicanes introduction and start/finish line being moved forward. After a deadly accident in 1991, no race would take place in this circuit until 2007, after a length reduction to a long renovated layout. From the original circuit, remains the up and downhill section, from turn 6 (Boque), until turn 19, that drivers used to turn left. This section also gives the track big elevation changes. It's considered one of the most challenging tracks, due to its corners, high speed and drivers being very close to the barriers. Hungaroring
The Hungaroring is a motorsport racetrack in Mogyoród, Pest County, Hungary where the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix is held. In 1986, it became the location of the first Formula One Grand Prix behind the Iron Curtain. Bernie Ecclestone wanted a race in the USSR, but a Hungarian friend recommended Budapest. They wanted a street circuit similar to the Circuit de Monaco to be built in the Népliget – Budapest's largest park – but the government decided to build a new circuit just outside the city near a major highway. Construction works started on 1 October 1985. It was built in eight months, less time than any other Formula One circuit. Autodromo Nazionale Monza
The Monza Circuit ( it, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, , National Automobile Racetrack of Monza) is a race track near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. Built in 1922, it was the world's third purpose-built motor racing circuit after Brooklands and Indianapolis and the oldest in mainland Europe. The circuit's biggest event is the Italian Grand Prix. With the exception of the 1980 running, the race has been hosted there since 1949. Plamen Simeonov Kralev ( bg, Пламен Симеонов Кралев, born 22 February 1973 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian racing driver and businessman. Target Competition is an Italian auto racing team based in Eppan an der Weinstraße, Italy. The team is currently competing in the World Touring Car Cup and others TCR series. The team has previously raced in the TCR Europe Touring Car Series, SEAT León Eurocup and TCR International Series.
