Sydbank Arena
Sydbank Arena (formerly known as Kolding Hallerne and Tre-For Arena) is an indoor sports arena in Kolding, Denmark primarily used for handball. The arena has a capacity of 5,001 spectators and is home to Danish Handball League team KIF Kolding, one of the most successful teams in the history of Danish handball. History It was built in 1996 and expanded in 2015. It represents the largest part of the hall complex The complex is located in the southern part of Kolding and consists of 3 sports halls, 5 handball courts, 10 bowling alleys, meeting facilities, hotel and a restaurant. Kirsty Gilmour
Kirsty Gilmour (born 21 September 1993) is a Scottish badminton player who has represented both Scotland and Great Britain. Career Gilmour won the silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, losing out to Michelle Li of Canada in the final and becoming the first Scottish player to reach the women's singles finals at the Commonwealth Games. She jointly won Scottish Young Sports Personality of the Year 2012 with swimmer Craig Benson. On 1 May 2016, Gilmour went down fighting to Carolina Marín, in the finals of the European Championship held in La Roche-sur-Yon, settling for the silver medal. Making a second appearance at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Gilmour, the eleventh seed, won her opening match against the unseeded Sabrina Jaquet in straight games. Lauren Smith (badminton)
Lauren Smith (born 26 September 1991) is an English badminton player. She competed for England in the women's doubles and mixed team events at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won a bronze and silver medal respectively. In 2016, she represented Great Britain at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Teamed-up with Gabby Adcock, she won the women's doubles gold medals at the English National Badminton Championships in 2013 and 2014. In 2015 and 2016, she also won the women's doubles title partnered with Heather Olver. Smith qualified to represent Great Britain at the 2019 European Games, played in the women's doubles with Chloe Birch and in the mixed doubles with Marcus Ellis. Competed as the unseeded and second seeds in the women's and mixed doubles event respectively, she reached the finals in both events. Stefani Stoeva ( bg, Стефани Стоева; born 23 September 1995) is a Bulgarian badminton player specializing in doubles. Her current partner is her older sister, Gabriela Stoeva. They competed at the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. The duo together have won gold medals in the 2015 European Games and three successive European Championships in 2018, 2021 and 2022 editions. Stefani Stoeva has also won some individual titles in women's singles competition. Career Stoeva started playing badminton at age 9 at the Haskovo School Club in 2007. Gabriela Stoeva ( bg, Габриела Стоева; born 15 July 1994) is a Bulgarian badminton player specializing in doubles. Her current partner is her younger sister, Stefani Stoeva. The pair is the three-time European Champion and European Games gold medalist as well. They competed at the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. Career Gabriela Stoeva started playing badminton at age 10 in the Haskovo School Club. She joined the national team in 2008, and made a debut in the international event in 2009. Anders Skaarup Rasmussen (born 15 February 1989) is a Danish badminton player. He joined the Denmark national badminton team, Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas & Uber Cup, 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China, where he and his teammates beating Indonesia national badminton team, Indonesia 3–2 in the final. Kim Astrup Sørensen (born 6 March 1992) is a Danish badminton player. As junior player, he won the bronze medal at the 2010 World Junior Championships in the boys' doubles. He later won a gold in the mixed doubles and bronze medals in the boys' doubles and team events at the 2011 European Junior Championships.
