The 2017 Campeonato Baiano is the 113th edition of Bahia's top football league. Vitória won the tournament for the 29th time and second straight time against Bahia, on away goals, after a 1–1 draw on aggregate. Format First Round *The eleven teams each play each other once, for a total of 10 games. *The top four teams go on to the Semi-Finals. *The bottom two teams are relegated to the Campeonato Baiano 2° Divisão. Final Rounds *The four advancing teams are paired according to their record: *1st vs. 4th *2nd vs. 3rd *The matches are played over two legs, on aggregate. *The better of the two playing teams hosts the second leg. *The two winners go on to the final, also decided over two legs. *The better team, over both the first round and the Semi-Finals, hosts the second leg. Campeonato Baiano
The Campeonato Baiano is the football league of the state of Bahia, Brazil. The championship has been played since 1905 without interruption. 2020 format First stage: 10 teams are included in one group, playing once only against all teams in the group. The four best teams qualify to the semifinals, while the last-placed team is relegated to the Second Level. Final stage The four best teams play in a two-legged knockout tie, with the first facing the fourth and the second facing the third placed. The winner of each Semifinal qualify for the Finals, which occur in the same way. The winners of the finals are the champions. In case that two teams end tied after a round, those with the best record in the first stage qualify. The 2018 Copa do Brasil (officially the Copa Continental Pneus do Brasil 2018 for sponsorship reasons) was the 30th edition of the Copa do Brasil football competition. It was held between 30 January and 17 October 2018. Campeonato Baiano (lower Levels)
The Campeonato Baiano Second Division are the second tier level of the football tournaments for the Bahia state league. The competitions are organized by the Bahia Football Federation. Usually, the champions of a division are promoted in the next year to the immediately upper level.
