The 2017 British National Track Championships were a series of track cycling competitions held from 27–29 January 2017 at the Manchester Velodrome. They are organised and sanctioned by British Cycling, and were open to British cyclists. The championships were sponsored by HSBC. Matt Rotherham
Matthew Rotherham (born 1994) is a British male track cyclist. Following a career as an elite abled bodied cyclist, he transferred to Paralympic track cycling as a sighted pilot in the visually impaired (B) classification. In 2021, he piloted Neil Fachie to Paralympic gold in the men's track time trial B classification. The pair are also Commonwealth Games champions in 2018, and five-time World champions in the discipline. Cycling career Rotherham is a five times British champion after winning the time trial Championship at the 2019 British National Track Championships and the 2022 British National Track Championships and three British National Tandem Sprint Championships gold medals. Joe Steven Holt (born 13 October 1997) is a British road and track cyclist from Wales, who currently rides for Tekkerz CC. Matthew Bostock
Matthew John Bostock (born 16 July 1997) is a Manx road bicycle racing, road and Track cycling, track cyclist, who last rode for UCI ProSeries, UCI ProTeam . He won a bronze medal riding for Great Britain, at the 2016 UEC European Track Championships, in the team pursuit. At the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Bostock was one of several riders involved in a serious crash during the heats of the Men's Scratch Race. British National Team Pursuit Championships
The British National Team Pursuit Championships are held annually as part of the British National Track Championships organized by British Cycling. Prior to 1996, there were two separate team pursuit championship events for amateur and professional riders. A women's championship was later added, competing over a shorter 3 km distance with three riders, until 2013 when this was increased to 4 km with 4 riders as in the men's event. Ethan Hayter
Ethan Edward Hayter (born 18 September 1998) is a British racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Hayter started riding at Herne Hill Velodrome in 2012, aged 13. He raced for the VC Londres cycling club from 2012 to 2016, and remains an honorary member. In 2016 he joined British Cycling's Senior Academy squad, relinquishing his A-level studies in order to join the programme. He rode in the men's team pursuit event at the 2018 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, winning a gold medal. In August 2018 it was reported that Hayter had joined as a ''stagiaire'' until the end of the year. That month he also competed at the European Track Championships in Glasgow, where he took bronze medals as part of the British team pursuit squad, the Madison pairing alongside Oliver Wood and an individual gold in the omnium. Charles Tanfield (born 17 November 1996) is a British Track & Road Cycle sport, racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Continental team Saint Piran (cycling team).
