The 2017 Belgian Super Cup was a football match that took place on 22 July 2017 between Anderlecht, winners of the 2016–17 Belgian First Division A and Zulte Waregem, winners of the 2016–17 Belgian Cup. 2016–17 Belgian First Division A
The 2016–17 season of the Belgian First Division A was the 114th season of top-tier football in Belgium and the first following the structural changes in the Belgian football pyramid, reducing the number of professional teams to 24. It began on 29 July 2016 and finished on 31 May 2017. The fixtures were announced on 8 June 2016. Club Brugge were the defending champions but had to settle for second place with Anderlecht taking their 34th title. Ivan Obradović ( sr-Cyrl, Иван Обрадовић, ; born 25 July 1988) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a left-back and Serbia national team. At international level, Obradović represented Serbia at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. René Weiler (born 13 September 1973) is a Swiss football coach and former player. Playing career Weiler started his career 1990 with FC Winterthur, the club of his hometown, playing in the Challenge League. In 1992, he moved to FC Aarau who at the time were in the Swiss Super League. After only one season he changed sides with Servette FC, playing two seasons in Geneva and 41 games.
