2016–17 LSU Tigers Basketball Team
The 2016–17 LSU Tigers basketball team represented Louisiana State University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team's head coach was Johnny Jones, who was in his fifth season at LSU. They played their home games at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as a member of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 10–21, 2–16 in SEC play to finish in a tie for 13th place. They lost in the First Round of the SEC tournament to Mississippi State. Johnny Jones (basketball, Born 1961)
John Henry Jones Jr. (born March 30, 1961) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Texas Southern Tigers basketball team. He was formerly the men's basketball head coach at North Texas and at his alma mater LSU. Playing career Jones played in the 1981 Final Four as a freshman at LSU, and later served 12 seasons as an assistant coach at LSU under Dale Brown where the pair returned to the 1986 Final Four. Coaching career Head coaching career Memphis Jones was named interim head coach at the University of Memphis just prior to the 1999–2000 season, replacing Tic Price. Keith Hornsby
Keith Randall Hornsby (born January 30, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for Nanterre 92 of the LNB Pro A. He played college basketball for UNC Asheville and LSU. High school career Hornsby began his prep career at Hampton Roads Academy before transferring to Oak Hill Academy. As a senior, he averaged 11.4 points, two assists and three rebounds and led the Warriors in three-point shooting at 50.4 percent, helping them finish with a 29–4 overall record and to be ranked fourth nationally. Maywood, Illinois
Maywood is a village in Proviso Township, Cook County, Illinois, United States in the Chicago metropolitan area. It was founded on April 6, 1869, and organized October 22, 1881. Duop Thomas Reath (born 26 June 1996) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Qingdao Eagles of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Cal State Fullerton Titans Men's Basketball
The Cal State Fullerton Titans men's basketball team is the basketball team that represents California State University, Fullerton in Fullerton, California, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Big West Conference. History In 1978, the Fullerton men's basketball team, coached by Bobby Dye, made it to the Elite 8 in the 1978 NCAA Division I basketball tournament. They were considered the year's Cinderella story as a #7 seed (out of 8).
