Iraurgi Saski Baloia, also known as Sammic Hostelería for sponsorship reasons, is a professional Basketball team based in Azpeitia, Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country, Spain. Founded in 1975, the men's team currently plays in LEB Oro and the women's team in the Liga Femenina 2 de Baloncesto, Liga Femenina 2. History Iraurgi was founded in 1975 and takes its name from the Iraurgi valley, located between Azpeitia and Azkoitia. In its first seasons, the club played the provincial competitions of Gipuzkoa. In 2005, the men's club made its debut in national competition by playing the Liga EBA. The club grew up in the league and in 2009 qualified for the first time to the promotion playoffs to LEB Plata, achieving promotion in their second attempt, in 2010. Xuventude Baloncesto
Club Xuventude Baloncesto is a basketball team based in Cambados, Galicia (Spain). The team currently plays in league LEB Plata. History Xuventude Cambados was founded by a group of friends in 1976. In 1999, Xuven promoted to Liga EBA, where it played four seasons before being relegated to Primera División. In 2009, the club came back to Liga EBA and in 2011 it qualified for the promotion playoffs to LEB Plata where, despite completing a 28–2 record in the regular season, it failed in the playoffs after losing in the finals to CE Sant Nicolau. In its second attempt, Xuven clinched the All-Liga EBA title after ending the whole season with a 21–2 record, thus promoting to LEB Plata. The club remained five seasons in the league before being relegated again to Liga EBA. However, Xuven was demoted to the sixth division after failing to fulfill the requirements to play in Liga EBA. History The Fundación CBG was founded in 2006 as an entity associated to basketball club CB Granada, with the aim to promote basketball and other nonprofit activities in the province of Granada.
