The 2016–17 Sarajevo season was the club's 68th season in existence, and their 23rd consecutive season in the top flight of Bosnian football, the Premier League of BiH. Besides competing in the Premier League, the team also competed in the National Cup. Elvis Sarić
Elvis Sarić (; born 21 July 1990) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Chinese Super League club Qingdao Hainiu. Sarić started his professional career at GOŠK Dubrovnik, before joining Lučko in 2009. Four years later, he moved to Vinogradar. In 2014, he switched to Inter Zaprešić. Later that year, he went to Sloboda Tuzla. Sarić joined Sarajevo in 2016. Two years later, he signed with Suwon Bluewings. A year later, he was transferred to Al Ahli. He moved to Gorica in 2021. Haris Duljević (; born 16 November 1993) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a winger for I liga club Stal Rzeszów. Duljević started his professional career at Čelik Zenica, before joining Olimpic in 2011. Three years later, he switched to Sarajevo. In 2017, he moved to Dynamo Dresden. Edin Rustemović (born 6 January 1993) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Club career Rustemović started his career at Drina Zvornik where in January 2012 he got awarded among the 10 best sports people from the town of Zvornik for the year 2011. He made his debut in the 2010–11 Bosnian Premier League season with Drina.
