2016 World RX Of Latvia
The 2016 World RX of Latvia was the tenth round of the third season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship and the eighth round of the 2016 FIA European Rallycross Championship, forty-first season of the FIA European Rallycross Championship. The event was the first FIA World or European rallycross event to be staged in Latvia, and was held at the Biķernieku Kompleksā Sporta Bāze, former host of the non-championship Latvian Grand Prix. Biķernieki Complex Sports Base
Biķernieki Complex Sports Base is a racing circuit and cross-country skiing course in the Biķernieki Forest in Riga. Adjacent to the racing circuit is the Riga Speedway Stadium. History In 1962, the design of the track was started. Eduardu Kiopi was appointed director of the sports complex, and the project manager was Gunars Binde. A group of specialists were also invited: Peter Dzenis, Janis Roops, Karlis Rība and Vilnis Vasulis.
