2016 Uzbek League
The 2016 Uzbek League was the 25th season of top-level football in Uzbekistan since 1992. Pakhtakor were the defending champions from the 2015 campaign. Teams Sogdiana Jizzakh remained for 2016 Uzbek League after winning in relegation play-off match with Oqtepa. Obod Tashkent promoted to 2016 League as 2015 First League winner. The draw of 2016 season was held on 22 December 2015. The first matchday is scheduled for 4 March 2016. Managerial changes Foreign players The number of foreign players is restricted to five per USL team. A team can use only five foreign players on the field in each game. Uzbek League
Uzbekistan Super League ( uz, O'zbekiston Superligasi), also called Coca-Cola Uzbekistan Super League due to sponsorship reasons ( uz, Coca-Cola O'zbekiston Superligasi / Coca-Cola Ўзбекистон Суперлигаси), is the top division of professional football in Uzbekistan. It is operated under the auspices of the Uzbekistan Professional Football League and Uzbekistan Football Association. It was founded in 1992 and currently played with 14 teams. Bunyodkor Stadium
The Milliy Stadium ( uz, Milliy stadioni) is a football stadium in the city of Tashkent — the capital of Uzbekistan. Located in Chilanzar District of Tashkent, on Bunyodkor Avenue. It seats 34,000 spectators, thus becoming the second largest stadium in Uzbekistan after the Pakhtakor Stadium, which seats 35,000 spectators. It is the home arena of the FC Bunyodkor and Uzbekistan national football team. From its opening in September 2012 until June 2018, the stadium was called "Bunyodkor Stadium". FC Shurtan Guzar ( uz, Sho'rtan G'uzor professional futbol klubi or Шўртан Ғузор футбол клуби) is an Uzbek football club based in G‘uzor, Uzbekistan. History During its first years the club played in the lower divisions of Uzbekistan. In 2006 FC Shurtan made its debut in the Uzbek League. The 2010 season was the club's most successful season when they finished 4th in the league and were runners-up in the Uzbek Cup.
