2016 TCR International Series Sepang Round
The 2016 TCR International Series Sepang round was the tenth round of the 2016 TCR International Series season. It took place on 29 September–1 October at the Sepang International Circuit. Roberto Colciago won the first race, starting from pole position and Kevin Gleason gained the second one, both driving a Honda Civic TCR. Ballast Due to the results obtained in the previous round, Jean-Karl Vernay received +30 kg, Stefano Comini +20 kg and Maťo Homola +10 kg. Sepang International Circuit
The Sepang International Circuit ( ms, Litar Antarabangsa Sepang) is a motorsport race track in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located approximately south of Kuala Lumpur, and close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It hosted the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix between 1999 and 2017, and is also the venue for the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix, the Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race and other major motorsport events. History The circuit was designed by German designer Hermann Tilke, who would subsequently design circuits including in Shanghai, Sakhir, Istanbul, Marina Bay and Yas Marina. Pepe Oriola
Josep "Pepe" Oriola Vila (born 9 July 1994) is a Spanish racing driver. He became the youngest driver to race in the World Touring Car Championship when he competed in the 2011 season. Oriola is not only the youngest driver to start a WTCC race at the age of 16, he’s also the youngest to be on the podium and to have won a race. Feats he achieved in Brazil in 2011 and Morocco in 2013 respectively. His record of being the youngest driver ever to compete, score championship points and win a race in the prestigious WTCC remains to this day. Tse Wing Kin (謝榮鍵) (born 19 January 1979), also known as Kevin Tse, is a Hong Kong-born Macanese racing driver currently competing in the British GT Championship with Sky Tempesta Racing. Racing career Tse began his career in 2009 in the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup. He switched to the Chinese Volkswagen Scirocco Cup in 2010, finishing second in the championship standings that year. He also raced a couple of races in the GT Asia Series that season. He switched to the Macau AAMC Roadsport Series in 2011 and won the title that year. For 2012 he switched to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia, finishing second in the championship that year. Davit "Data" Kajaia ( ka, დავით "დათა" ქაჯაია; born 10 January 1984 in Tbilisi) is a Georgia (country), Georgian racing driver, best known for winning the Legends Euro Nations Cup in 2012 and 2013. Cheuk Wai "Andy" Yan (; born 21 October 1983) is a Hong Kong racing driver currently competing in the TCR Asia Series and Chinese Touring Car Championship. Racing career Yan began his career in 2011 in the Chinese Touring Car Championship, he won the championship in 2011 and 2013, he ended 2nd in 2012 and 3rd in 2014.
