2016 PDC Pro Tour
The 2016 PDC Pro Tour was a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships, UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. In 2016 there were 36 PDC Pro Tour events held – 20 Players Championships, six UK Open Qualifiers and ten European Tour events. Prize money Prize money for each Players Championship has increased from £60,000 to £75,000 per event. The UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events stays the same as in 2015. This is how the prize money is divided: PDC Pro Tour Card 128 players are granted Tour Cards, which enables them to participate in all Players Championships, UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events. PDC Pro Tour
The PDC Pro Tour is a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). They comprise Professional Dart Players Association (PDPA) Players Championships and European Tour events. Only four players have gone on to win at least 30 titles on the PDC Pro Tour. Michael van Gerwen has won the most Pro Tour titles winning 84. Phil Taylor is second on the list winning 70 events, Peter Wright third winning 32 events and Gary Anderson in fourth winning 31 events, as of September 2022. Pro Tour Card Since 2011, the PDC Pro Tour has operated a Tour Card system. 128 players are granted Tour Cards, which enables them to participate in all Players Championships. Kim Viljanen
Kim Viljanen (born December 4, 1981) is a Finnish darts player. Career Viljanen won the boys' singles event at the 1999 WDF World Cup in Durban, South Africa. In 2004, he progressed to the last 32 of the World Masters, losing 3–2 to Tony West. Viljanen competed on the Scandinavian Darts Corporation (SDC) Tour in 2014, and finished third in the Scandinavian Order of Merit. He was awarded a place in the 2015 PDC World Championship after Jarkko Komula, who had finished second on the Scandinavian Tour, was excluded following a suspension by the Finnish Darts Organisation. He lost 4–1 in the preliminary round to Sascha Stein. Viljanen won three SDC Tour events in 2015 and finished top of the Order of Merit, thus qualifying for the 2016 PDC World Championship. Jeffrey De Graaf
Jeffrey de Graaf (born 21 November 1990) is a Dutch darts player. He has played in six World Championships (four BDO and two PDC) but has lost in the first round each time. He moved from the BDO to the PDC in 2016. Career BDO In 2012, De Graaf began playing the international circuit and won the 2012 Isle of Man Open and 2012 Romanian Open. Raymond "Ray" Campbell (born 4 April 1967) is a Northern Irish professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation events. Ryan Meikle ( born 13 August 1996) is an English professional darts player who plays in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Career Born in Ipswich, Suffolk, Meikle is a barber by trade, hence his nickname of "The Barber". He won a PDC Pro Tour card by qualifying from the second day of Q School in 2016. He made his PDC European Tour debut in the 2016 International Darts Open in Riesa, Germany, where he whitewashed Austrian Michael Rasztovits 6–0 thanks to an opening 151 checkout. Ted Evetts
Ted Evetts (born 3 August 1997) is an English darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is the 2021 PDC World Youth Champion. Career Evetts plays for his local Super League team and also plays Men's County for Warwickshire as well as being signed on to Warwickshire Youth County. He is also a qualified chef. After competing on the PDC Development Tour in 2014 and 2015, Evetts gained a PDC Pro Tour card on the second day of the 2016 Qualifying School. Jonathan Worsley (born 2 August 1984) is a Welsh darts player who currently competes in the PDC (professional darts corporation) . He first gained a PDC Tour Card at Q-School in January 2016. Career Bowles made his television debut at the 2011 UK Open at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton as a pub qualifier.
