2016 LPGA Tour
The 2016 LPGA Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world. The season began in the Bahamas on January 28 and ended on November 20 at the Gold Course of the Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Florida. The tournaments are sanctioned by the United States-based Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). Schedule and results The number in parentheses after each winners' name is the player's total number of wins in official money individual events on the LPGA Tour, including that event. Tournament and winner names in bold indicate LPGA majors. Ariya Jutanugarn
Ariya Jutanugarn ( th, เอรียา จุฑานุกาล, , ; born 23 November 1995) is a Thai professional golfer who plays on the American-based LPGA Tour. She was born in Bangkok. She is the first golfer, male or female, from Thailand to win a major championship. She became the number one ranked golfer in the Women's World Golf Rankings in June 2017. Family Jutanugarn has an older sister, Moriya, who is also a professional golfer. Their parents are father Somboon and mother Narumon and they have four older half-siblings through their father. The two sisters often play matches together and travel with their parents, who handle their business and financial affairs. The Lotte Championship is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour. It debuted in April 2012 LPGA Tour, 2012 at the Ko Olina Golf Club in Kapolei, Hawaii. The title sponsor of the tournament is Lotte (conglomerate), Lotte, an industrial conglomerate based in South Korea and Japan. The presenting sponsor from 2012 to 2014 was J Golf, a Korean broadcaster. In 2012, the LPGA Lotte Championship was one of two LPGA tournaments in the United States presented by J Golf. 2016 ANA Inspiration
The 2016 ANA Inspiration was the 45th ANA Inspiration, held March 31 – April 3 at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course of Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. Lydia Ko
Lydia Ko (born 24 April 1997) is a New Zealand professional golfer and the No. 1-ranked woman professional golfer. She first achieved the top ranking on 2 February 2015 at of age, making her the youngest player of either gender to be ranked No. 1 in professional golf. Ko had much success from an early age holding many youngest accolades on the LPGA Tour. Until 2017, she is the youngest ever (age 15) to win an LPGA Tour event. Kia Classic
The JTBC Classic Presented by Barbasol, formerly the Kia Classic, is a women's professional golf tournament in Southern California on the LPGA Tour. It debuted in 2010 at the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, then moved north for a year in 2011 to the Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms in the City of Industry in Los Angeles County. The Cognizant Founders Cup is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour in Clifton, New Jersey. It debuted in 2011 at the Wildfire Golf Club at JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. The tournament is designed as a tribute to the founders of the LPGA.
