Pranab Mukherjee (cropped)
Pranab Mukherjee (11 December 1935 – 31 August 2020) was an Indian politician who served as the 13th president of India from 2012 until 2017. He was the first person from West Bengal to hold the post of President of India. In a political career spanning five decades, Mukherjee was a senior leader in the Indian National Congress and occupied several ministerial portfolios in the Government of India. Prior to his 2012 Indian presidential election, election as President, Mukherjee was Minister of Finance (India), Finance Minister from 2009 to 2012. He was awarded India's highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, in 2019, by his successor as president, Ram Nath Kovind. Banwarilal Purohit (born 16 April 1940) is an Indian politician who is the current and 29th Governor of Punjab, India and Administrator of Chandigarh as of 29 August 2021. He was the former Governor of Tamil Nadu from 2017 to 2021, and former Governor of Assam from 2016 to 2017. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was a Member of Parliament from the Nagpur (Lok Sabha constituency) three times, twice as an Indian National Congress member, once as a BJP member. Political career Later he joined Congress. Governor Of Jammu And Kashmir
The governor of Jammu and Kashmir was the head of the Indian state Jammu and Kashmir. When India became independent, Hari Singh was the Maharaja of the Princely State of Jammu and Kashmir. Technically he remained so until 17 November 1952, although from 20 June 1949 his son Karan Singh acted as regent. From 17 November 1952 to 30 March 1965, Karan Singh was the elected as the Sadr-e-Riyasat of the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Acharya Devvrat
Acharya Devvrat (born 18 January 1959) is an Indian politician and former educationalist who is serving as the 20th Governor of Gujarat. He is an Arya Samaj ''pracharak'' and served previously as the principal of a Gurukul in Kurukshetra, Haryana. Being the Governor of Gujarat, he is also the Chancellor of state universities of Gujarat. In August 2015, Devvrat was appointed as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. He continued till 21 July 2019, when he was replaced by Kalraj Mishra. In June 2019, he was named as Governor of Gujarat replacing Om Prakash Kohli. Devvrat is married to Darsana Devi. Kaptan Singh Solanki (born 1 July 1939) is an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the 17th Governor of Tripura. Om Prakash Kohli (born 9 August 1935) is an Indian politician and the former Governor of Gujarat from 2014 to 2019. He was the president of the Delhi unit of Bharatiya Janata Party from 1999 to 2000 and had served as a member of the Rajya Sabha from 1994 to 2000. He had been the president of the Delhi University Teacher's Association (DUTA) and of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, ABVP. He studied at Ramjas School and Khalsa School, New Delhi. Mridula Sinha (27 November 1942 – 18 November 2020) was an Indian writer and politician who served as Governor of Goa from August 2014 to October 2019. She was the first woman Governor of Goa.
