2016 FIS Ski Jumping Grand Prix
The 2016 FIS Ski Jumping Grand Prix was the 23rd Summer Grand Prix season in ski jumping on plastic for men and the 5th for ladies. Other competitive circuits this season included the World Cup, Continental Cup, FIS Cup, FIS Race and Alpen Cup. Maciej Kot
Maciej Kot (Polish pronunciation: ; born 9 June 1991) is a Polish ski jumper. He is a member of the national team and competed at the Winter Olympics in 2014 and 2018. He is a 2017 World Champion and bronze medalist of 2013 World Championship in the team large hill event. Personal life Maciej Kot was born in Limanowa, Poland, but raised in Zakopane. His father Rafał was a physiotherapist for the Polish ski jumping team, now he is a ski jumping expert for Polish national television. Maciej's older brother Jakub (born 1990) is a ski jumper as well. Maciej Kot graduated the University School of Physical Education in Krakow with master's degree in physical education (MPhEd). Maciej is dating Agnieszka Lewkowicz, personal trainer and former athlete. They met at university. On 18 May 2019 he married Agnieszka Lewkowicz. His surname means 'cat' in Polish. Einsiedeln () is a municipality and district in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland known for its monastery, the Benedictine Einsiedeln Abbey, established in the 10th century. Schanzen Einsiedeln
The ski jumping venue in Eschbach, Einsiedeln was built in 2001. In 2010 the venue became the ''Nationale Sprunganlage'' (National Ski jumping venue) of Switzerland. The venue includes four hills, K-105, K-70, K-45 and K-25. Schanzen Einsiedeln is located in Eschbach Sports Centrum and many other events take place in this area. 2001 In 2001 the first ski jumping hill in Eschbach was built. It was only a small K-20 hill, and it was torn down after three years of use. New hills 2003 saw the start date of the construction of four new ultra-modern ski jumping hills in Eschbach. After two years of construction the facility was opened for use. The ski jump hills were installed with green summer plastic coverings that are substitutes for snow. These allow skiers to train in the summer time. Hinterzarten
Hinterzarten is a resort village in the Black Forest (German: ''Schwarzwald''), located in the southwest of the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Although Hinterzarten is mostly famous for its ski jumping, it has many other tourist attractions. Andreas Wellinger
Andreas Wellinger (born 28 August 1995) is a German ski jumper. His career-best achievements include winning an individual gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics, individual silver at the 2018 Winter Olympics, mixed team gold at the 2017 Ski Jumping World Championships, and team silver at the 2016 Ski Flying World Championships. Wellinger's best finish in the World Cup overall standings is fourth, in the 2016/17 season. Anders Fannemel
Anders Fannemel (; born 13 May 1991) is a Norwegian ski jumper. He is a former ski flying world record holder, with set in Vikersund on 15 February 2015. Career Fannemel started ski jumping when he was 14 years old, which is rather late compared to other elite ski jumpers. He made his debut in the Continental Cup in September 2008 in Lillehammer, scoring two seventh places over two days. He finished in lower positions throughout the rest of the 2008/09 season, but in the 2009/10 season he recorded a fifth and a first place in the Continental Cup, again in Lillehammer, in August 2009. Adam Małysz Ski Jumping Hill in Wisła-Malinka is a ski jumping hill in Wisła, Poland. The ''Fédération internationale de ski et de snowboard'' (FIS; en, International Ski and Snowboard Federation) is the highest international governing body for skiing and snowboarding. Kamil Wiktor Stoch (; born 25 May 1987) is a Polish ski jumper. He is one of the most successful ski jumpers in the history of the sport, having won two World Cup titles, three Four Hills Tournaments (two of them consecutive), three individual gold medals at the Winter Olympics, individual and team gold at the Ski Jumping World Championships, and individual silver at the Ski Flying World Championships. Courchevel () is a French Alps ski resort. It is a part of Les Trois Vallées, the largest linked ski areas in the world. Courchevel also refers to the towns of Courchevel 1300 (Le Praz), Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650 (Moriond), and Courchevel 1850, which are named for their altitudes in metres. On 1 January 2017, Saint-Bon-Tarentaise (1100) merged into the new commune Courchevel. The resort centre of Courchevel is at 1,747 metres (5,732 ft). The name Courchevel 1850 was chosen for marketing reasons to compete with rival ski resort Val d'Isère. It is the Jardin Alpin area of Courchevel 1850 rather than the centre which is located at 1,850 metres (6,070 ft).
