2016 FIM Superstock 1000 Cup
The 2016 FIM Superstock 1000 Cup was the eighteenth season of the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup, the twelfth held under this name. The championship, a support class to the Superbike World Championship at its European rounds, used 1000 cc motorcycles and was reserved for riders between 16 and 28 years of age. The season was contested over eight races, beginning at Motorland Aragón on 3 April and ending at Circuito de Jerez on 16 October. 2016 Superbike World Championship
The 2016 Superbike World Championship was the 29th season of the Superbike World Championship. Jonathan Rea won his second consecutive Superbike World Championship title at the first race of the last round at Losail, while Kawasaki had secured the manufacturers' title at the previous event at Jerez. Chaz Davies won the most races this season with Davies winning 11 races to Rea's 9. Race calendar and results In comparison with the previous season, the calendar saw the discontinuation of the Algarve round and the return of Lausitzring; Autodromo Nazionale Monza, which was also due to reappear on 23–24 July as the tenth round—subject to track homologation—was removed from the calendar on 1 April 2016; the round was definitively cancelled the following 29 April, as no replacement venue had ultimately been found. Roberto Tamburini
Roberto Tamburini (born 15 January 1991 in Rimini) is an Italian motorcycle racer. For 2022 he was a late addition to the 2022 Superbike World Championship, entered as riding for a one-bike Motoxracing Yamaha team. Tamburini has competed in the European Superstock 1000 Championship and the CIV Superbike Championship aboard an BMW S1000RR. He has previously competed in the 125cc class of the Grand Prix Motorcycle World Championship. In 2010 he raced full-time in the Supersport class of the Italian national championship (CIV), winning the title by 4 points. The Aprilia RSV4 is a super bike manufactured by Aprilia. The RSV4 is Aprilia's flagship model. Aprilia offers two models of the bike: the RSV4 Factory and RSV4 R limited edition (only 350). The Lausitzring (formally known as the Dekra Lausitzring for ownership reasons) is a race track located near Klettwitz (a civil parish of Schipkau, Oberspreewald-Lausitz district) in the state of Brandenburg in northeast Germany, near the borders of Poland and the Czech Republic.
