2016 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0
The 2016 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 was a multi-event motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars held across Europe. The championship features drivers competing in 2 litre Formula Renault single seat race cars that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. The 2016 season was the 26th and final season Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season organized by the Renault Sport and the first season as the main category of the World Series by Renault. The season began at Ciudad del Motor de Aragón on 16 April and finished on 23 October at Autódromo do Estoril. The series formed part of the World Series by Renault meetings at six events. Lando Norris
Lando Norris (born 13 November 1999) is a Belgian-British racing driver currently competing in Formula One with McLaren, racing under the British flag. He won the MSA Formula championship in 2015, and the Toyota Racing Series, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup in 2016. He also received the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award that year. He subsequently joined the McLaren Young Driver Programme in 2017 and won the 2017 FIA Formula 3 European Championship, competing with Carlin Motorsport. James Allen (born 4 July 1996) is a professional racing driver from Australia. He currently competes in the IMSA SportsCar Championship for G-Drive Racing by APR and has previously competed in the European Le Mans Series. Career European Le Mans Series Allen first contested the European Le Mans Series in 2017 with Graff Racing's LMP2 entry. JD Motorsport is an auto racing team based in Vespolate, Italy that competes in formula single-seaters in Europe. History The team was formed in the 1995 by Roberto Cavallari and Alfredo Cappelletti. Marcus Cornelius Armstrong (born 29 July 2000) is a New Zealand motor racing driver. He is due to compete in IndyCar on road and street courses with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2023.
