2016 Campeonato Pernambucano
The 2016 Campeonato Pernambucano (officially the 2016 Campeonato Pernambucano Celpe A1 for sponsorship reasons) was the 102nd edition of the state championship of Pernambuco. The championship began on January 10 and ended on May 8. Twelve teams were competing, ten returning from the 2015 and two promoted from the 2015 Pernambucano U-23 Championship (Belo Jardim and Vitória das Tabocas). Santa Cruz, the defending champions, won the finals against Sport 1–0 on aggregate. Teams Tiebreakers The teams are ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss). If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings: #Higher number of wins; #Superior goal difference; #Head-to-head result between tied teams; #Higher number of away wins; #Fewest home losses; #Draw in the headquarters of the Federação Pernambucana de Futebol. Campeonato Pernambucano
The Campeonato Pernambucano de Futebol (Pernambucan Football Championship, in English) is the football championship of Pernambuco state, Brazil, and is organized by the FPF. The first edition of the Campeonato Pernambucano was played in 1915, and was won by Flamengo de Recife, a defunct club. In the 2022 season, 10 clubs played for the title. Lacerdão
Estádio Luiz José de Lacerda, usually known as Lacerdão, is a multi-purpose stadium in Caruaru, Pernambuco, Brazil. It is currently used primarily for football matches. The stadium was built in 1980 and has a capacity of 30,000. The Lacerdão is owned by Central Sport Club. The stadium is named after Luiz José de Lacerda, who was president of Central Sport Club from 1962 to 1964, 1966, 1977 to 1983, and in 1992 and 1993. Caruaru
Caruaru is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Pernambuco. Paulista
Paulista is a municipality in Pernambuco, Brazil, with a population of 334,376 as of 2020. It has the highest Human Development Index (HDI) of the Recife metropolitan area.
