The shortlists were announced on 15 December 2016. The results were announced on 18 January 2017. The 2015 CONCACAF Awards is the third year for CONCACAF's awards for the top region football players, coaches and referees of the year. The shortlists were published on 12 January 2016. Mallory Diane Swanson (; born April 29, 1998) is an American soccer player who plays as a forward for the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), the highest division of women's professional soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team (USWNT). She is the youngest player in USWNT history to reach 10 career assists, she holds the record for most assists in USWNT history before the age of 20, and in January 2016 at age 17 she was the youngest in USWNT history to be selected and play in an Olympic qualifying tournament. Erin Katrina McLeod (born February 26, 1983) is a Canadian soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Stjarnan of the Icelandic Besta deild kvenna. She first appeared for the Canada women's national soccer team at the 2002 Algarve Cup and made a total of 119 appearances for the team. In 2012, as part of the Canadian Soccer Association's Centennial Celebration, she was honoured on the All-Time Canada XI women's in a 20-year career. Þór/KA is an Icelandic women's football team based in Akureyri. It is a joint team fielded by Þór Akureyri and Knattspyrnufélag Akureyrar and currently competes in Úrvalsdeild kvenna. On September 29, 2017, they won their second Icelandic championship. History Since 1999, Þór Akureyri and KA have fielded a joint women's team under the name Þór/KA in the Iceland's top tier Úrvalsdeild kvenna. Knattspyrnufélag Siglufjarðar joined the collaboration in 2001 and subsequently the team was named Þór/KA/KS until KS left the collaboration after 2005 season. Aurora Cecilia Santiago Cisneros (born 19 October 1994) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Tigres UANL (women) and the Mexico women's national team. Chicago Red Stars
The Chicago Red Stars are a professional women's soccer club based in Bridgeview, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. A founding member of the Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) league, they have played in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) since 2013. WPS was the NWSL's predecessor as the professional women's soccer league in the United States, and the Red Stars played in the WPS in 2009 and 2010. After leaving the WPS in December 2010 due to the league's financial issues, the club joined the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) for the 2011 season. Stephanie Lynn Marie Labbé (born October 10, 1986) is a Canadian retired professional soccer player who played as a goalkeeper. She won a bronze medal with Canada at the 2016 Rio Olympics, the NWSL Championship with the Courage in 2019, and a gold medal with Canada at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
