Deutsche Eishockey Liga
The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (for sponsorship reasons called "PENNY Deutsche Eishockey Liga") (; English: ''German Ice Hockey League'') or DEL, is a German professional ice hockey league and the highest division in German ice hockey. Founded in 1994, it was formed as a replacement for the Eishockey-Bundesliga and became the new top-tier league in Germany as a result. Unlike the old Bundesliga, the DEL is not under the administration of the German Ice Hockey Federation. The DEL is regarded as one of Europe's premier ice hockey divisions behind leagues in Sweden, Finland and Switzerland. Three German clubs represent the DEL on the European stage each season in the Champions Hockey League, although no German club has yet won this competition. In the 2016–17 season, the league was the second-best supported ice hockey league in Europe, behind the Swiss National League A, with an average attendance of 6,198 spectators per game. Straubing Tigers
The Straubing Tigers are a professional men's ice hockey team, based in Straubing, Germany, that competes in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. Straubing plays its home games at the Eisstadion am Pulverturm, which has a capacity of 5,800 spectators. Promoted to the DEL in 2006, and operating with one of the league's smallest budgets, the team could finish no better than twelfth before the 2011–12 DEL season, when it reached the semi-finals of the playoffs. Their greatest success so far is the qualification for the season 2020–21 of the Champions Hockey League. Iserlohn (; Westphalian: ''Iserlaun'') is a city in the Märkischer Kreis district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. ISS Dome
The PSD Bank Dome is a multi-use indoor arena in Düsseldorf, Germany, it opened in 2006. The arena has a capacity of 15,151 people and 14,282 people for hockey matches. Events It is used mostly for ice hockey matches, as well as concerts. Its home team is the Düsseldorfer EG. Public transport The ISS Dome is connected to the stations Düsseldorf-Unterrath and Düsseldorf-Rath with a shuttle bus. Both stations have direct transfer to the Rheinbahn tram lines 701, 707 and 715. Furthermore, there are connections to the suburban rail S-Bahn Rhein-Ruhr serving Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, Duisburg, Essen, Dortmund and Cologne. It's planned to extend tram line 701 from station Düsseldorf-Rath to the ISS Dome. With this extension the city centre of Düsseldorf would be linked directly to the ISS Dome.
