2015 İstanbul Cup
The 2015 İstanbul Cup (also known as the TEB BNP Paribas İstanbul Cup for sponsorship reasons) was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 8th edition of the İstanbul Cup, and part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2015 WTA Tour. It took place in İstanbul, Turkey, from July 20 through July 27, 2015. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International Tournaments was a category for professional tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. The winner of a WTA International adds 280 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2020 season, there were 32 tournaments, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,000 ($775,000 for Shenzhen, and $525,000 for Guangzhou and Hong Kong). Çağla Büyükakçay
Çağla Büyükakçay (; born 28 September 1989) is a Turkish professional tennis player. She has won 11 singles and 15 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. In September 2016, she reached her highest singles ranking of world No. 60. She won her first title on the WTA Tour at her home tournament in Istanbul. On 29 February 2016, she peaked at world No. 111 in the WTA doubles rankings. Playing for Turkey at the Billie Jean King Cup, Büyükakçay has a win–loss record of 39–30. She is also the top-ranked tennis player at Istanbul's multi-sports club Enkaspor. Büyükakçay was the first tennis player to represent Turkey at the Olympic Games. Kirsten "Flipper" Flipkens (; born 10 January 1986) is a Belgian professional tennis player. She has a career-high ranking of No. 13 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). Flipkens has won one singles title on the WTA Tour, winning the 2012 Tournoi de Québec, as well as seven WTA doubles titles.
