2015 WTA Shenzhen Open
The 2015 Shenzhen Open (known as ''2015 Shenzhen Gemdale Open'' for sponsorship reason) was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the third edition of the Shenzhen Open, and part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2015 WTA Tour. It took place at the Shenzhen Longgang Sports Center in Shenzhen, China, from 4 to 10 January 2015. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International Tournaments was a category for professional tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. The winner of a WTA International adds 280 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2020 season, there were 32 tournaments, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,000 ($775,000 for Shenzhen, and $525,000 for Guangzhou and Hong Kong). Duan Yingying
Duan Yingying (; born 3 July 1989) is a Chinese former professional tennis player. In her career, she won one singles title and three doubles titles on the WTA Tour, and two WTA Challenger doubles titles, as well as eleven singles and three doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. Her nickname is lightning for her amazing forehand. On 24 April 2017, she reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 60. On 3 February 2020, she peaked at No. 16 in the doubles rankings. Chan Chin-wei (, born 8 January 1985) is a former professional tennis player from Taiwan. She won one doubles title on the WTA Tour, along with six singles and 49 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. She reached her best singles ranking of world No. 152 in October 2006. María Teresa Torró Flor (; born 2 May 1992) is a Spanish former professional tennis player. Ana Isabel Medina Garrigues (, ; born 31 July 1982) is a Spanish tennis coach and former professional player. As a player she reached a career-high ranking of world No. 16 in 2020, and won 11 singles and 28 doubles titles, including the 2008 French Open, 2008 and 2009 French Open with Virginia Ruano Pascual.
