2015 U.S. F2000 National Championship
The 2015 U.S. F2000 National Championship was the sixth season – since its revival in 2010 – of the U.S. F2000 National Championship, an open wheel auto racing series that is the first step in INDYCAR's Road to Indy ladder, and is owned by Andersen Promotions. It was the second season featuring a single class of competition. The schedule expanded to 16 races from 14 in 2014 with the addition of a pair of races at NOLA Motorsports Park and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, where the series previously raced in 2013. Nearby Sonoma Raceway was dropped from the schedule. French second year driver Nico Jamin captured the championship driving for Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing. JDC–Miller MotorSports is a sports car racing team that currently competes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The team currently fields the No. 5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac DPi-V.R full-time for Tristan Vautier and Richard Westbrook in the Daytona Prototype International class of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Barber Motorsports Park is an multi-purpose racing facility located in Birmingham, Alabama. It was built by George W. Barber, and includes the Barber Vintage Motorsport Museum. Garth Rickards (born September 23, 1992) is an American racing driver residing in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He is currently studying business management at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Rickards grew up around racing but began racing himself in 2012-2013 where he completed the Skip Barber Racing School program. The following year, 2014, Garth partnered up with Team Pelfrey in the F1600 Championship Series for his second season in open wheel racing. He received Rookie of the Year honors with 1 win and 9 podiums. Ayla Ågren (born 23 July 1993 in Bærum) is a Norwegian-Swedish female racing driver. Representing Norway, she currently competes in the W Series. Team Pelfrey is an American racing team in the F1600 Championship Series and F2000 Championship Series. The team is owned by Dale Pelfrey. Indy Racing League (1998–2000) John Paul Jr. replaced Danny Ongais as driver for the 1998 Indianapolis 500 due to Ongais crashing and suffering a concussion. Paul Jr. finished seventh and led the race. Robby Unser drove for Pelfrey in 1999. Luo Yufeng (born June 24, 1998 in Beijing, China) is a Chinese-American racing driver. He is the 2015 Formula Continental champion and 2018 F4 Chinese Championship vice-champion.
